Super User eyedabassman Posted April 5, 2008 Super User Posted April 5, 2008 Of the two, what one do you fish the most? And what is your set up ( C rig, C,rig ect. )? Color? Quote
Sinjin Kim Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Baby for T-Rig and C-Rigs Brush Hog for flipping. Colors- depends. Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 5, 2008 Super User Posted April 5, 2008 Baby Brush Hogs; I threw all my Brush Hogs away! Watermelon Neon hands down Quote
Just_Old_Fisherman Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Tend to start the year with the Baby Brush Hog then move to the Brush Hog about mid-summer. Always T-Rig casting and flipping. For my local lake it is always Green Pumpkin with tail dipped in Chartreuse Spike-it. Quote
Curado Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Baby Brush Hog usually on a C-rig, sometimes T-rig, in watermelon red and I will usually dip the tail in some chartreuse Spike-It. Quote
MNGeorge Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 We have better results with the Super Hog, don't know why. We always T-rig them. Colors for our lake are Tequila Sunrise and Watermelon Candy. Quote
Olebiker Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Baby Brush Hog with a one ouce weight flipped through the hydrilla on Lake Seminole. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted April 5, 2008 Super User Posted April 5, 2008 I throw the *** baby bush bugs anytime except at night. I throw the regular *** at night because it moves a lot of water. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted April 5, 2008 Super User Posted April 5, 2008 I throw the big boys, always T-Rig. Watermelon/red color. Falcon BTW, I throw *** ***'s. Just as good as the "other" brand. Quote
mattm Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 BTW, I throw *** ***'s. Just as good as the "other" brand. Better. Already come garlic scented and the tails are just a little longer. Quote
basser89 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I throw the Brush Hogs. Just about always T-rigged but the weight I use depends on the situation. One of my favorite mid to late summer techniques is putting a 1oz bullet weight on and crawling it on the bottom in the thickest grass I can find. Great bait for flippin too! Quote
snyper77 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 One of my favorite mid to late summer techniques is putting a 1oz bullet weight on and crawling it on the bottom in the thickest grass I can find. quote]THis poses another question: I always a small, 3/16 bullet weight, year round on my t-rigs. I have seen people on this forum say that "bass want a faster fall in the summer". Does that mean I should increase my bullet weight size on t-rigs in hot weather? Is there any truth to this "fall ratio" stuff? Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted April 5, 2008 Author Super User Posted April 5, 2008 I think it does, because the faster fall rate and it becomes a reaction strike. But evan in the summer sometimes they want a slower fall, let the bass tell you how they want it. But the fast fall does work in the warm water. Quote
