Brush Hog or Baby Brush Hog?

Tend to start the year with the Baby Brush Hog then move to the Brush Hog about mid-summer.  Always T-Rig casting and flipping.  For my local lake it is always Green Pumpkin with tail dipped in Chartreuse Spike-it.

Baby Brush Hog usually on a C-rig, sometimes T-rig, in watermelon red and I will usually dip the tail in some chartreuse Spike-It.

We have better results with the Super Hog, don't know why.  We always T-rig them.  Colors for our lake are Tequila Sunrise and Watermelon Candy.

I throw the *** baby bush bugs anytime except at night. I throw the regular *** at night because it moves a lot of water.

I throw the Brush Hogs. Just about always T-rigged but the weight I use depends on the situation. One of my favorite mid to late summer techniques is putting a 1oz bullet weight on and crawling it on the bottom in the thickest grass I can find. Great bait for flippin too!

THis poses another question:

I always a small, 3/16 bullet weight, year round on my t-rigs. I have seen people on this forum say that "bass want a faster fall in the summer". Does that mean I should increase my bullet weight size on t-rigs in hot weather? Is there any truth to this "fall ratio" stuff?

I think it does, because the faster fall rate and it becomes a reaction strike. But evan in the summer sometimes they want a slower fall, let the bass tell you how they want it. But the fast fall does work in the warm water.
