NewAngler Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Lake Barcroft is an amazing fishery. You can find me on it 5-7 days a week. Digging up dirt! Quote

chrisbcrankin Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 doh! sorry, didn't notice that. just did a google search of lake barcroft fishing and found this. Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted April 27, 2010 Super User Posted April 27, 2010 I dont know if anyone is still checking this out but I find it hard to believe that they have closed that lake to the public. I fished that lake for many years when I was little and cought my first fish there and they did use to allow boats with trolling motors. Darn I was hoping to take my children there. :'( That has got to be one of the best citation crappie bodies of water and the bass were big too Quote
Syppy Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Heh heh, as I used to live right down the road from this lake, I just had to read through the thread. It's puzzled me for a long time as to why that particular lake has been "closed" for so long, although I am suspicious of the Golf Course involvement in the whole thing. I know that they do have some shore fishing in certain spots, cause there have been hosted "Youth Days" out there (maybe those were specially planned too), but to my knowledge not even the residents are allowed to do anything in it. It's even got it's own myspace: www.myspace.com/lakemanassas Sippi Quote
