Super User Nitrofreak Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 This place gets a lot of pressure are you fishing from a boat or from the shore? It is a good place to fish and can be productive be there early and use a cavitron and work it parallel to the bank if from a boat as the morning progresses switch to worms or some other form of live bait. Just off of the loading ramp it gets 50 feet deep I have had some success running a deep diving crank bait in rainbow trout colors all around that area. Jigs and drop shots work really well there too especially around some of the coves there but like I said it gets a lot of pressure so pack a lunch box full of patience. Good luck be safe and hope this helps. Quote
VABassin'14 Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Went to the lake this evening. Caught a small blue gill on a spinnerbait that was bigger than the fish. I hooked what was probably the biggest bass of my life on a long cast that popped off about twenty feet from the boat. There were a bunch of people on the lake and just never found pattern that was producing well. Tough day, but I will likely go back sometime this summer. Quote
bartoopuck Posted June 20, 2010 Author Posted June 20, 2010 we were there saturday on a canoe from 5am-11am. 0,zip,zilch. tried the coves, shores, 10-20ft deep. tried everything, cranks, soft plastics, spinnners.......... the water was 78 degrees, that mighta had something to do with it Quote
StuntDouble Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I've never had much luck there.... Go into the bait shop and look at the photos on the board, gives you some inspiration before you go out. Quote
