Crappie bite is on at lake anne in Reston

Crappie spawn is on at Lake Anne in Reston. Pulled in at least 30 in about an hour and a half. They were sitting on nests along a rocky shore. They were hitting a bucktail jig, hot pink head with white tail. Just jigged the lure within a few feet of the shore and they couldn't resist.

One thing I noticed was that I had to jig the lure above their heads. They would only strike upward. They wouldn't touch anything that was below them, or being dragged across the rocks.
