MFBAB Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I've fished Glenn a couple of times in the last week, topwater is pretty good early and picking up a few on spinnerbaits and traps if the wind blows a little. I fished Herb Parsons one day last week and caught a lot of small bass on jigs, hung a 35-40 lb grass carp on a Redeye over there but he broke off after a couple of minutes. That joker jumped straight up, like daylight b/w his tail and the water 2 times before breaking off, I never could tell where the plug was though, don't know if he was hooked in the mouth or snagged, funnest fight I've had this year either way Quote

TN basstracker Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Striper are on fire below Pickwick Dam. The bass, both green and brown, are still red hot on the lake. 8-) Big ditto on Pickwick! Went for 2 days last week and we had 80 a day, each day with 2 of us in the boat. Going back in the morning and fishing til Thursday evening. Been catching alot of fish at Glenn Springs. Early on flukes and Rage Tail Eeliminators, then switching to deep water with Rage Anacondas and Swim Jigs Quote
billbo Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 We fished Sardis Lake in Ms. on saturday and we caught quite a few. I have always heard May is the month to catch fish at Sardis. The water is up and muddy from all the rain. The St. Jude bass tournament is coming up on May 30 and I am sure lots of fish will be caught. Catch one for me. ;D Quote

Mudflap Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I've heard that there can be some nice bassin' out of the harbor downtown when the water stablizes. It's been so high lately though I haven't done much good except cats and temperate bass. I will keep at it though and let you guys know how it goes as the water runs out... Quote
