Ldavis Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I have registered as a non boater and put on the waiting list but was told if I find a boater that has not already registered that we can both be guarenteed entry. Any boaters want to register? Also anyone want to share a room if I/we get in? Quote
Bigs Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 how much is the entry fee ? And how well do you know the river ? Quote
Live to Learn Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I need a post so I am putting it here, good luck to anyone who fishes this tourney. Quote
egolfer Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Steve its 800$ and it's random draw so you wont fish with the guy you sign up with. Last year Elite Pro Bobby Lane won it with about 18-22lbs a day. If you are on that, then do it. Otherwise, you wont want to donate. I've done the co-angler side that last few years, but this I have a wedding... > Quote
Ldavis Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Steve I know some about the river but hope to learn more by fishing as a co. Thinking about fishing as a boater? Quote

Bobby Lane just barely edged out Terri by 3-4 pounds or so from what I recall. This isnt something for me unless I do it as a co-angler. Good luck Quote
NewAngler Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 3 or 4 pounds is a huge difference, imo. There could literally be 10 guys separated by 3-4 lbs, right? Good luck for those that do it. Quote

Good luck for those that do it. 3 pounds over 3 days isnt huge and can be made up by just catching one nice 6 pounder on the last day. Look at what Jon Crews did not too long ago, caught a 5 pounder on his last cast to beat Skeet by a few ounces . I think Terri has a better chance this year due to him hiring someone to work at his shop which allows him to fish alot more. Last year he was hardly ever gettin out on the river cuz he was always at the shop. I'm pulling for the guy, he's clearly one of the best bass anglers in the state and if anyone deserves it, it's him. Finishing second place to the BASS Elite series rookie of the year is nothing to be ashamed of anyways. Quote
Ldavis Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Thanks Steve. I hope I can get in. I will let you guys know the outcome. Maybe we can hook up sometime to fish Quote
