fishingfourfun Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I will be fishing the Shennendoah River on Saturday. My question is what types of lures will I need? I have never fished in the river. We will be taking a canoe trip. Any help will be appreciated. Quote
smck75 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Jerkbaits or topwater fished along the shore line and structures. Quote
bigfruits Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 its a shallow, slow river. i like using small jigs and small cranks. i've have had good luck with rebel wee craws and jointed rapalas. my bigger smallmouth have come from 4" double tail yamamoto hula grubs and bitsy bug jigs. Quote

River_angler Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Buy some 1/8 ounce jigheads and some Zoom Salty Fat Albert grubs. You can't go wrong. Also, get a couple of Heddon Torpedoes and you will do fine. Quote
