A.Do? Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Wayne will give you very good information! It's knowing how to use it that I fail at. I totally forgot to report to him how I did at Briery after he gave me some awesome details. Probably cuz I didn't do to well :-[. I really need to get back out to Hunting run this year. Good luck Josh! Quote
Punkinseedfyretailz Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 hunting run is a great place to fish. one of the first points across from the boat house is a great area to catch fish. there is a house on the point so its easy to recognize. just stand at the boat house and look across from it and you'll know which one im talking about. i went on a trip with my father in law and my brother in law. we stopped on that point and stayed there all day. caught many fish there, all different species, from cats and crappies to bass. my brother in law pulled a 6 pounder out on that day. the river channel goes around that point with alot of grass cover. sit deep and fish deep and shallow. minnows were the bait of choice, but we did catch a few off artificials, ribbon tail worms. all my favorite spots are closer to the d**n. I need to get my year pass too. whats the price for the year on both Hunting Run and Ni. Hopefully I can afford it this week. Also hoping to give my new rod and reel a good challenge. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 8, 2010 Super User Posted April 8, 2010 endless, check the Spottsylvania County Parks and Recreation site for the permit prices. I have a season permit but it is at "old folks" price. The yearly launch fee for non-county residents is $35. Quote
