There are a number of excellent guides working out of Okeechobee who will put you on fish and give you a great outing; but, if you want to find a great "teaching guide" who will help you learn/refine technique, who would it be and why?

Absolutely positively Steve Daniel out of Roland Martin's @ Clewiston. Former Elite pro and featured on one of the first Day on the Lake shows on ESPN. He is a teacher and you will learn a lot and he will put you on fish as well

PM me and I can give you more info

Steve Daniels is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is a very good guide and you would have a great time.

Try Angie Douthett.  She has great credentials, is the wife of ex Miami Dolphin, Chet Douthett and her total commitment is to you.  She will teach you any technique you want to learn and make certain you catch fish.  You can google her or Chet and find out a ton of information on her and contact numbers.  She is guiding on the north end of the lake out of Okeechobee, but will meet you at any launch around the lake.  You can't find anyone better for what you want.  She will amaze you.

I have fished with Steve and he is a class act and I am sure he can bring you up to speed.  He guides out of Clewiston (South End)  last time I went out with him.

Angie Douthett, is also great and guides out of Okeechobee (North End).
