My sons and I will be adventuring from the great white north (Canada) in March...with our boat. This is a great resource. I'll be asking a few questions in the near future.

Come on down, the weather is nice.  High of 83 today.

March is one of the best months of the year for the Everglades. The 2nd or third week of the month is a post spawn feeding bonanza.

We are planning to stay in the Kissimmee area and will fish Toho, maybe Teneroc. At Toho, probably do some shiner fishing but will definitely try some artificials. I will be looking for a few other lakes in the area to fish. Still in the planning stages right now. Thanks for the early replies.

Toho is going to be your spot, or somewhere on the Kissimmee chain. Send me a PM several weeks before your vacation and I will send you gps coordinates for the hot spots and the right bait to use.

Tenoroc water levels are still way down and is difficult to launch a boat in most of the lakes.

Fishin Daddy-thanks for the very generous offer. I will contact you.

Funny thing but with all of this fishing talk, I just winterized my boat...you may have heard that word before...lol.

I should have noted that I would be glad to help some of you coming from long distances to fish Lake St.Clair smallies...next summer...and the Detroit River for walleye in the spring.

I know people who double team and drive straight through in 18-20 hrs but I'm looking at 2 days. Probably 10-12 hrs on day one and about 6-8 on day 2. Just me and my sons so I'm driving myself. Should be fun!

Lots of bass and baseball once we're there!
