South Palm Beach isn't Sebastian, it's referred to as the "dead zone". I'm out everyday and the beach bite isn't what it was last year. Some very big tarpon rolling in the surf, 1 hot bluefish day and small daily jacks, I did manage a couple around 10#. The ICW is what seems to be happening, but you need to head north and go early. I have a couple of spots that the tarpon and snook are busting and 20+ jacks are not uncommon. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 4, 2009 Super User Posted November 4, 2009 Banned? How in the heck could you get banned? I figured you were just busy with school. Glad to see you back. Tournament this Saturday at Osborne. Hope to see you out there. Doug. Quote

GLADES Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Glad to see you're posting again. Have you been out to Lox recently or during your absence from BR? I have a hard time believing that you could have been banned. You are definately one of the good guys on BR. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted November 4, 2009 Super User Posted November 4, 2009 wait, so did the other dude get unbanned too? nevermind, it appears (at least to me) that Dink Whisperer has been unbanned as well. Ya'll must have served your time. Quote

bocabasser Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 thanks lee, kevin, and doug. i have been fishing lox a lot. i was there sunday and caught a bunch on the flats. 3 pounder was my biggest. i have also been on lake O a lot as well. i found a really good area that has been producing 15 to 20 pounds every time i go. i hope it stays that way, because i have 3 tourny's there in the next 2 weeks. Some of my fishings buddy's say the areas with clean water around the monkey box are hot right now. I am definately looking foward to fishing there next month. Quote
piscicidal Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Hey bocabasser. I was out to Lox on Thursday. I got a few, but was a little disappointed with the size. I was froggin most the time on the south flats. How about you? Frogs? C-rigging the outlets? I hope to go again on Sunday. Quote
bocabasser Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 skinny dippers and spooks. the key on the flats (at least for me) is to look for 2 things: a difference in depth of one foot or more, could even be 6 inches. the second is i always look for open areas off of the main trail. it may take me 15 minutes to get to the hole, but that is usually where the fish are. very rarely will i catch anything of size on the the trail. you really have to use your trolling motor to get to the open holes in the back. sometimes you even have to use the big motor to get through some of the thicker junk. i may be going out there on sunday if i don't go to the lake. i will let you know. piscicidal Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Yeah, I didn't go back in there as far as usual. I got a new (to me) boat and Thursday was her first time out. Stayed pretty close to the main trail, playing with the accessories/electronics/etc.. Maybe Sunday I'll bring her back in the slop... I've got some pretty good spots out there also. Me and my partner fished two (FS Forum) tourneys out there and we won em both. Maybe see you out there, Sunday. Got a VHF? Quote
