Last year I tried out some spinner baits w/echips and loaded the boat 30 to 1 vs my co-pilot throwing the same spinnerbait w/o the Echip. It felt extremely unfair and wrong. Not that it wasn't fun, but after relizing how depressed my buddy was getting I retired that set-up for the evening. Ok here's the question: Are Echips allowed in tourny's?

I've honestly never seen those before.  Interesting.

Never heard of those before, can you post a picture of what they look like on a lure.

Here you go: Flippin jig slides over the hook like you would a trailer.

In the tournaments I fish the only things not allowed is live bait and preserved baits like those minnows that come in a bag.

I've never seen it on a spinnerbait, but i do know that echips are used for ocean fishing. Caught salmon and halibut using them. Interesting, never saw it for bass, mostly salmon lures.
