Has anyone of you thought about looking into what Japanese anglers fishing in Japan are using?

A lot of HOT newer baits are coming from Japan

95% of my baits are from japan and I have quite a few of them. :) :)

Here's a good japanese online shop.   www.ichibantackle.com

Their new technique for finess is a wacky worm with a round jighead for a hook.

Nothing new, pretty old technique and it wasn 't even developed in Japan, it was developed in the US.

Japanese products are great, I love buying tackle from Ichibantackle.com. Best finds: Evergreen Sledge Escarda, Deps spinnerbait

Go to a lake where every fish has seen every bait in every color. Get your partner to tie on a Japanese made lure that is painted different, swims different and has a different rattle that they haven't seen and get back to me.

From those 5, yup I 've tried the first two and the last one, the fisrt one ( Okera ) is nothing special, no better nor worse than any other creature bait out there in the market. The tail less grub is a really nice bait but it 's tiny size doesn 't bring anything out of the ordinary, good numbers bait, but you can catch about the same with a regular 3 inch grub.

It ain 't the wand, it 's the magician.  :)

There are loads of baits used in Japan that has never been used here, though unless you find a website (as some were listed) that will ship to the US then we all will just need to wai until another angler brings it here.

Years ago, Wacky Worm in Gilbert, PA carried Berkley Japanese soft baits (Irregulars only) which were not available here in the US. I've tried several, and found them to be okay in my book, but nothing spectacular.
