masterbaiter99 Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I am heading over to Toho this weekend to try to scout out the lake a little for an upcoming club tournament on the 11th. Was wondering if anyone could share the lake conditions, what the bite has been like lately. Have not fished this lake in summertime and am a little lost on where to begin! Thanks Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted June 30, 2009 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted June 30, 2009 If I were going to be fishing a tournament on toho, here's how to win it. Carolina rig a BIG dark worm. The channel narrows to within a few hundred yards just east of Reed Island. From that narrow point work you way south looking for the hydrilla that is less than a foot tall. There is a hard edge to it. When you find them they are in packs and mostly 5 lbs and up. 5 th place in our tourney this weekend was 22 lbs. The first 5 places were doing this within site of each other. Quote

masterbaiter99 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 Thanks a bunch, I am not much of a Carolina Rig guy but will give it a go! Was out there yesterday (Sunday) and ran around to a bunch of spots I have fished previously and couldn't latch onto anything specific. Did notice a bunch of boats a little North of Marker 24 but didn't see many fish coming up. Thanks again though I do appreciate it. Quote
