George Welcome Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Lake level is 11.29 feet and dropping. I am afraid that it is going to go low again this year. Quote

gar-tracker Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 If you know how to get out on the Shoal the fish have been gorging on tons of shad from uncle Joes Cut all the way to Chocrans pass, theres 3 problems 1. IS GETTING THERE, the lake is almost at 11 feet, that area is full of rocky reefs and shoals, if you come out of Uncle Joe's canal go out about 1/4 of a mile turn left and parallel the shore, but stay off the shore untill your at least even with Blue Hole, then ease in, theres eel grass at the reed line and the fish are in the eel grass. you'll be in about 2 foot of water. Also try traps out away from shore. 2.THIS IS NO SECRET, the boats are stacked out there and you have a lot of company making the quality fish sparse, you'll be able to get a limit but all the traffic makes it hard luck out on a kicker. 3.THE WIND, The wind has been ripping out of the east making that area hard to fish. There will be fish moving to the Rim Ditch. Its a safe option for someone who isn't experienced in running the lake. Quote
