George Welcome Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Stick Marsh/Farm 13: Fred Parker of Georgia was in disbelief when this 7+ pound gal just jumped into his boat on it's own! I know that this lake is the best out there, but can you imagine how good it must be to have this happen! Quote
TMorse Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Wish a few of those would jump into my boat on tournament day Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 7, 2009 Super User Posted April 7, 2009 I've had my share of flying fish smacking into me but never a bass. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted April 7, 2009 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted April 7, 2009 I have had one hit the boat before, but he was about 6 lbs lighter. Quote
Big Mike in Fl Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I had one about 3 lbs jump in the boat on garcia before, it was pretty cool Quote
fivesixone Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Man, that girl got beat up! That is pretty d**n cool though! Quote
George Welcome Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Those marks are a result of spawn activity. The female takes quite a beating at this time. I have been doing this bass thing for 50 years and have never seen this type of occurence before except in saltwater. Quote
gar-tracker Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I had a 4lb pounder jump in my boat once and lots of smaller ones, when flipping the everglades canals its common, if your tight up against the bank you kind of trap them and they'll jump right in. Quote
