KevO Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I will be visiting some friends in Orlando next week, and was thinking about doing some fishing. I don't want to pay for a guide, so if someone could give me a couple place I could hit from the bank I would really appreciate it. I will only have one rod with me a 7'3 MH carrot stix w/ a Core and 50#braid. Also let me know what baits I should bring. Oh and if anyone would be willing to let me fish out of their back seat I would be willing to give you some gas money. Quote
surfer Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 turkey lake park is the best shore fishing i know of. they have about 5 diferent docks. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I fished turkey lake a few years ago while at a conference. Didn't have much luck, but, did catch my first alligator. Little 2 footer caught on a chatter bait along some weeds. Sure is a nice lake. BassAkwards, they do have boats there you can rent for half-day and full day if you are interested. They were specific on the days and I was not able to get one. Should be able to call and check though. Nice aluminum boats provided by bass pro. Eddie Quote
bassfonattic Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 There is a fair amount of open shoreline along the north end of Toho. Also, there are small lakes everywhere, so use Yahoo or Goggle and use the satelite view to find out which ones AREN'T surrrounded by homes and appear to be accessible. Also, there are numerous canals in the Disney area. Talk to a security guard when you get there to get from getting run out of some areas. Good. Luck. Quote
KevO Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 What baits should I be throwing? Plastics, Jigs, Cranks, spinnerbaits? help me out. I am going to try to rent a boat there if one is available. Quote

I fished a tourney on toho about a year ago, we had trouble with the big motor and were only able to fish wherever the trolling motor would take us, anyway, an old timer was fishing at the end of a rock jetty, not far from the boat ramp...he proceeded to land 5-6 fish that had ot be between 2-3 lbs, right in front of us. I guess it was his hole, and he knew it well, because we only picked up one barely 14" fish right there. Quote
