Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver

I came across a bag of Sweet Beavers I had from Reaction Innovations that was with my summer stuff. Does anyone on here fish these? The color I have is called Dirty Sanchez and I have no clue as to where I baught it from. I didnt even know I had anything by Reaction Innovations. Can I rig it backwards like my Fat Ikas on Owner 4/0 EWG hooks and weightless or is this too different of a bait? Im betting itd work great backwards love the color pattern on it, it looks like green pumpkin on one side while watermellon on the other all w/ black flake I believe.

Out here in AZ, they are all the rave.  Check out www.reactioninnovations.com and they have some pictures for rigging them.  My favorite is to rig them backwards and put a lead nail weight in the nose and you can get them to fall away from you.  Works great for overhangs and docks.

Yeah I just read that on their website, I overlooked the rig stuff. Arizona is very nice, I went to Tucson for a vatcation about 10 years ago. The weather is unbelieveable, hot weather there is always dry and not bad at all compared to here where its so humid. Also some fantastic fishing in AZ, fat hawgs. I mention that because their headquarted in AZ I believe, if I were you id try to get a job there or see if they can walk you through their production line. When you said their all the rave did you mean the Sweet Beavers?

On a side note, my wife and I were strongly considering moving there. We narrowed it down to three states.. Arizona, Texas, or Tennessee.

I fish the sweet beavers carolina style and with a slider pro jig head... I usually use a

EWG gamatsu hook or an owner ewg hook 3/0-5/0

I use the smallie beaver as a jig trailer on hair jigs during the winter.  It works pretty well.

Those are some of the best soft-plastic baits available IMO. I use the sweet beaver on a normal t-rig, weightless, c-rig, and as jig trailer. I also use  the smallie beaver on a splitshot rig, shakey head, and on a drop-shot.

Beavers are a great flipping bait.  I usually t-rig them with a pegged 1/4 oz bullet weight on a 4/0 EWG hook.   I mainly flip them against logs and laydowns.   I also use them on carolina rigs.  They are an awsome bait.

Close, I got mine on Hall road which is m-59.. actually I think thats the one! Its the only Reaction Innovations baits that they carry in which I saw some time ago. Its next to their YUM, Slug-Go, and GYCB stuff if I remember right.

Yeah I meant the sweet beavers, but all the other stuff they make is big out here as well.  The screwed up jig heads, vixens and barely legal vixens are up there as well too.  

You should seriously consider the move to AZ.  I grew up in KC and it did take me a bit to get used to the heat most of the year, but you can fish year round (though you may want to night fish during the crazy hot summer).  From PHX you can drive a couple hours up north to fish for trout, pike, walleye and you can drive a couple hours to the border and then either go to Baccarac (sp), El Salto or one of the other lakes with those mexi-hawgs in them or hit up Rocky Point for some saltwater fishing.  I live in Central Phoenix and it is 45 minutes to Lake Pleasant, 45 minutes to Bartlett Lake, around an hour to Canyon, Saguaro and Apache, and 90 minutes to my fave, Lake Roosevelt.  I would suggest living on the eastside of town (Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa) as you will be closer to the Salt River Chain (Canyon, Sag, Apache and Rosey).  With that being said, Tennessee and Texas have some pretty great lakes, so you have a decision to make.  Give me a shout if you want some more specific information.

I used them this year w/ a 3/4 oz t-rig to punch through pads....greenbacks seemed to like them. I am trying to convince myself to become a jig fisherman, and these seem like a decent option as a trailer.

What are the Sweet Beavers most productive colors for dark water? Im thinking about going and picking up a couple bags over the winter when I have some cash to throw around. Lots of the ones I saw all had some sort of red in it, almost all of them actually. They only had two bags left of the Dirty Sanchez so I baught one.

road kill has been a good  color for me, coon nasty, watermelon , big texan and the dirty sanchez's worked fine back in september....

A nail weight is just a super thin weight you wedge inside the bait.

I picked up another bag today this time in Mossy Mud.. tomorrows supose to be 63 so im hoping theyll come up shallower. I will be fishing them on a Jungle bullhead Jig-Loc jig w/ a spray of BANG craw. I'm hoping theyll produce more then Fat Ikas for me but thatll be tough as their responsible for my best outing. Im hoping because.. (they're cheaper) :-X
