SimonSays Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hiya! I've only fished there a few times but I know there's a flat area around here when I fished it the water was really low, so the area was only in about 2-3ft of water, the levels have probably risen since then but there was a drop off past the flat that went from 2-3ft to 15ft pretty steeply, caught a few there. There's also an old road bed i think that runs through there where I caught a few but it's hard to pinpoint a location. good luck! Also...how do you enter this tourny? Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 cool man thanks for the info!! I think there gonna have it march 14th and from what i understand you can sign up day of tourney bf launch. Im hearing entry fees are $80 per boat and $70 if you prepay. I know someone that is trying to get me exact details on this tourney as he lives in brandermill area and guess they send out flyers with all info. You park at sunday park and they will give you parking pass for the day to park there. I think last year they had like over 60 anglers show up but electric only. I think 1st place pay out was just over $500 and 2nd took like $350. They also pay out for "Big fish". Im waiting on more info / rules myself. Ill hit you up with details as soon as i know. Thanks!! Super User Sam Posted February 27, 2009 Super User Posted February 27, 2009 I registered for the tournament two years ago and the afternoon before the tournament, when I checked out the boat and motor, my trolling motor was inoperative so I did not go. Never heard back from the anyone about future tournaments so I just said screw it. If they don't send notices out to people who registered and paid to fish a previous tournament then I am not interested. I remembering visiting the ramp at Sunday Park and noticed it was not positive to launching bass boats. And the parking was terrible. As for fishing Swift Creek, after launching at Sunday Park, head to your left and fish the bank and then around the bank and to the other side. Fish the shoreline and watch the other boaters to see where they are fishing. Be careful as Simon is correct in stating that there are some flats out there that can get you hung up. Have fun and let us know how you do. Quote
