drmnbig Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I'm new on here so I'll probbly have lots of questions for a while. I was just wondering how many Lake Anna regulars are on here. I've fished Anna on a regular basis for about 13 years now. If you've seen a green and white Nitro 700lx it may have been me. I always put in at Sturgeon Creek Marina. Quote
A.Do? Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I've only fished Anna once before and that was on a pontoon I rented from Sturgeon Creek. It was pretty rough as I didn't know much about bass fishing then. I plan on going back more next year though. One thing I've always wanted to try was the striper fishing at Anna. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 5, 2008 Super User Posted December 5, 2008 Great! Outstanding! Super! Wonderful! A guy who fishes One Fish Anna all the time. drmnbig Posted December 5, 2008 Author Posted December 5, 2008 Sounds great! I've been thinking about making it down to the Expo. I've got surgery scheduled for next week so I'm not making any permanent plans till I find out how good the pain meds work. ;D Quote
slomoe Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Welcome to BR. I've never fished Anna, but I'm sure someone here can help out. Quote
rondef Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 to the forum. I have only fished one fish Anna a few times it is a tough lake to fish. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted December 5, 2008 Super User Posted December 5, 2008 I fish it only occasionally now but used to a lot and have been since the late 1970's. It is my least favorite body of water to fish, just too crowded for my taste. I don't have any difficulty finding and catching largemouth bass there. I purchased my first fiberglass bassboat at Sturgeon Creek Marina in 1988. Quote
drmnbig Posted December 5, 2008 Author Posted December 5, 2008 I never fish it much in the summer due to the boat traffic but I love it in the spring and fall. I've been skunked there many times but I've had many awesome days on the water there too. Quote
Catch22 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I just bought my first boat this year and I fished Lake Anna about a half-dozen times. I haven't had much success there yet but I am hoping to get better with time. Quote
drmnbig Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 If you guys ever need a backseat filled I can be there any weekend. Since I sold my boat I've only made a couple trips there. I'd even be willing to give up some of my little sweet spots over there. Quote
