VolFan Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Fished the Potomac near the sailing marina in Alexandria from 10:30 to 12:30. Fish were chasing bait like crazy. Triple wing buzzbait in chartreuse was doing well. Most takes were run downs from a 10 ft away with great takes. Had a 10 in striper try about 6 times on one cast to eat it, he just couldn't get it in his mouth. 4 fish between 2-3 lbs and a few smaller. And almost one determined striper. Quote
ggfishing Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Glad to here that! It is really a sunny warm day now. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 26, 2008 Super User Posted October 26, 2008 Good report. Bad topwarter bite down here around Lake Anna and Richmond for two weeks. Hope the topwater bite starts to pick up. Quote
SimonSays Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Like sam I haven't had too much topwater in Richmond either... but good job at the potomac Vol! gotta love the topwater strikes =D Quote
bumper Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Thanks for the report. Thought about going that direction this morning, but was not sure where the marine corp marathon was going to mess up traffic. There was a map in the paper a couple of days ago, but my wife threw away the paper. Oh well. next time. Quote
VolFan Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Yeah I stayed in the walkable area because of that! Quote
