skillet Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I tried to get the Frapper Map to work for me , so I thought I would try this! Will be traveling to central Fla. soon. Planning on being there on the 27th of Oct. for birth of yet another Grandson (my daughters are really making me feel older and older ;D). I'm not sure how long we'll be there, at least a week and maybe 2. I was wondering if anyone wanted to show me what fishing in Fla. was like? Will be in Coco Fla, think it's about 45 min. East of Orlando. Guess that's really East Fla rather than central :-[. If anyones willing ( ) send me a PM... skillet Quote

Certified Public Angler Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 You should try some red fishing is possible, cape canaveral is the worlds best red fishing area. My grandparents live in Titusville just north of cocoa. Quote
gar-tracker Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Also available is The Loan Cabbage Fish Camp off the St Johns in the Coco area, the st johns river is real marshy in that area and gets narrow. When the waters low theres some great fishing. I think you can rent a boat at LCFC. Drag a black worm off the marsh into the canal, I used to love fishing there. Im to far south. http://www.twisterairboatrides.com/cabbage.htm Quote
skillet Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks everyone! I got to try for Reds the last time I was there, caught 3 and by Red Fish standards they weren't hogs but was sure a lot of fun!!! A friend of my son-in-laws owns an air boat and was gonna take me for a ride and about 30 yds. down the canal it blew an oil line and guess who was sitting right in front of where it blew ! He said he would make it up to me if I ever got down that way again......but, I don't know... skillet Quote
