I heard some where that a cold front for south fl is coming, what bait do you advise? The air temp. now is in the mid to high 80's, it should drop down to the low 70's high 60's so we're looking at a 10, 15 degree air temp drop! I recently got some 6" zoom U-tail worms in the mail would they work good worked sssssllllllllooooooooooowwwww on the bottom with a light bullet wight? What do you think? :-?

I think pretty much anything on top worked slow will work. what have the fish been dooing lately. are they staying on top or going down deep.,

I have used buzzbaits so slow  the they could have passed as a spinner bait.

with the temp dropping the big ones will wanna fatten up before the baitfish gets scarce.

The main bait is BIG like 8" mosquito fish (We just call them minnows)

It's just a small two to 3 acre pound. Not sure what they will do?

But thanks, for the biggins tip!

Show us a picture of this mystic 15 pounder.. What were the measurments of your 15.12 pound Bass???

Small and slow.

It isn't a strong front but its the first, that always effects them a little worse. Southern Florida Bass turn off big time after fronts, later on when the real cold ones head down you need to get out a flipping stick.

Well, I don't have a digital Camera, and it sucks, fisher mans' wost nightmare (I got a pic with a reusable cam, but that won't do any good to you) !! It was 32.62" long and a 14.5" long girth!

It was caught in banner lake Fl. (they lake was filled but about 80% and not it all houses, it more like a big pond now  :'( ). Caught it on  on a chartreuse and black (Catalpa) 3/8oz. Stanley Icon Spinnerbait (I got it when it was on sale to). Quantum Bill Dance Baitcast Combo 50lb braided tuff line (also on sale). BTW not a very good combo I'd give it a 6.7 out of 10.

Don't pick on the guys fish - if you don't believe it just ignore it.

Cold fronts - if you are not catching fish and the lake is a good one you probably haven't found the fish.

Look cold front enough?

George Perry's bass:

Fatter than a fully inflated basketball - and 32 1/2 inches long - his 22-pound, 4-ounce largemouth bass eclipsed the previous world record by more than two pounds.

haha 32 inch bass w/ a 14 inch girth.........

hmmmmmmmmmm. dont think so

Probably measured from dorsal to belly, not the full circumference.  Not very consistent or accurate, but illustrates the size of the fish.  I'm a little dubious of that length though.

Snapper, the first cold front of the fall usually shuts the fish down.  Most fish will suspend and be inactive so don't even try for them.  The fish that don't suspend will probably get nice and tight to cover.  Try fishing a straight tailed worm like the *** Finesse version or a small plastic craw texas rigged with a light weight.  Work it super slow, and when you feel it bump some cover, dead stick it.  This should catch you a few.

Good luck man and ignore all the stupid posts knocking your fish.  I can only imagine what it would be like dragging up a 15lber.  To bad you didn't have a camera, but I'm sure it will always be solidified in your mind  :)
