While surfing through Craigslist earlier today I came across this ad and thought this would be a good place to put it. I know it would totally suck to lose my stuff. Feel free to move or delete it if I'm not supposed to post this type of stuff. Thanks

"On Saturday night Someone broke into my house and stole my fishing rods along with other items. These were custom made rods given from my mother to my father for a B-Day present a number of years ago. Since he sold his boat and I just got mine, he gave me the rods. I want them back! Below is a picture of what they stole. Six total rods and 1 large gold gaff were stolen(4 penn internationals reels consisting of two 50's and two 30's and two Shimano Reels -80w's). My father's name on the base of four of the rods "George ________ JR.". The rods are black with gold thread. The 80w's are rare, easy to pick out in a crowd.

Any info leading to the recovery of these rods will be REWARDED!!!!"

Here's the contact info if anyone has a tip:                                     sale-812368890@craigslist.org

That sucks!

I know how it feels to have stuff stolen...I left one of my browning spinning rods in the back of my truck one night while I was at Radford Universtiy visiting some friends and it was gone the next day!

I feel your pain.

Isn't it sad that some people have to steal?  Makes me sick.

What magifies the problem is that people who fish and enjoy the outdoors usually do not steal other guy's equipment so it is tramatic when your equipment is stolen by others who do not enjoy fishing or the great outdoors since we never expect it to happen to us.

Now, there are some sick-o's who do fish, hunt and camp and steal items of others, but it is my opinion that these guys are in the minority of jerks.

I sincerely hope you get your items back and put an alarm on your home to enhance security.

I feel your pain!!! I had moved out of my fathers house a few years ago but in 2006 when I decided to buy a 4-wheeler I had no place to store it so I left it at his house. I only had it from Jan 06- March 08 and someone decided to sneak into my father's garage and steal my 4-wheeler. Some people are just sick!!!! >:(

I HATE THIEVES!!

My brother's father-in-law was a die hard fisherman and had his rod/reel combos stolen from his front yard after rinsing them, worth over $7K.

Unfortunately, he become so disgusted he sold his open fisherman and gave up on fishing all together.

Was the post in S. FLA?

I'll keep my eyes on the S. FL craigslist for any suspicious post.
