Duma Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Cape Coral in 2 months. If anyone is familiar with some of the better spots in SW Florida, my ears are open. I will be bringing the boat down and am looking to meet people to fish with (fresh or salt). Quote

As far as saltwater, your probably moving to one of the best fishing areas in the state, Boca Grande has some of the best Tarpon fishing in the world, the mouth of the Caloosahatchee river offers great Red Fish, sea trout fishing and Snook, your probably not going to be doing a lot of freshwater fishing once you get into all that right in your own back yard, but the further east you go in the river it turns fresh. Your about an hours drive from Clewiston (maybe more) on the shore Lake Okeechobee. Quote
