Your right by Lake Istapoka off 27, great Lake, and a little further is Walk On Water a small lake full of Hawgs.

2nd vote for Istapoga.

The water's hot though...last I was there it was 94 in the afternoon.  Fish deep and slow.

Might be nobody responded because they were'nt quite sure where you were going. I am familiar with Wauchula, Florida. I think the lakes that others might be referring to are Lake Istokpoga, and Lake Walk-In-Water, (Lake Weohyakapka).

For the fellow that saw 94 degree water on Istokpoga - you might want to get that temp sensor checked out.

Back to the question at hand: Lots of lakes in the Wauchula area including a gem right there in Sebring. Peace river is a great canoeing spot, but not so good for bass fishing.

At 345 pm, surface temp was 94.  It was crazy hot.

No need to have it checked out.  ;)

Bro,the surface temp in Sante Fe,was 87 deg.F. SAT at 1:00 pm.SO water temp in the 90's is not so far fetched,I also noticed that down about 4-5 ' the temp was in the high 70's
