Super User roadwarrior Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 After so many years of drought, I would welcome and enjoy the rain. : Quote
fishingaddict Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 After so many years of drought, I would welcome and enjoy the rain. : True, true but, I actually haven't been able to fish for 6 weeks because of surgery. The week I get my cast off and it rains everyday. Any other time I'd be welcoming the rain ;D Quote
George Welcome Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Love the rain: the fishing has been great - Caught during a lull in the rain. Quote

fishingaddict Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Thanks for the updates, that's a nice one George Welcome. It's still raining too hard to go out, but I'm hoping tomorrow there's enough of a lull to get out. Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 17, 2008 Super User Posted July 17, 2008 I think it has rained everyday or darn near every day for a month now and they are still pumping Lake Okeechobee. I don't mind the rain. It's the heat that follows rain that I mind. Quote

It's the heat that follows rain that I mind. Exactly. It's Florida summer, come on now... Rains every friggin' afternoon for at least 30 minutes haha.. Doesn't stop me from getting out there unless there's lightning. That heat is killer. Stay hydrated and wear sunblock! Quote
bocabasser Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 i have been stroking them in a private community that i clean pools at 2 days a week. i caught 2 fish that were easily over 5 pounds with a mess of 2-3 pounders thrown the mix. all this in about 45 minutes. keep raining please. Quote
btcprince Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 my local river produces nice big bass when the water is up, and its waaay up now. i am goin tomorrow morning. cant wait Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted July 18, 2008 Super User Posted July 18, 2008 My neck of the woods we have still gotten very little rain as compared to whats been going on around the state. It just seems to miss manatee county everyday. If I can get out during one of the steady drizzles that isn't a brutal downpour I have done very well lately although have been having trouble locating the bigger fish. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted July 19, 2008 Super User Posted July 19, 2008 Fished through the rain yesterday, but the day before it was thundering so I got out FAST. Sometimes they turn on right before, right after or during, but I have had my best luck right after using top water. Quote
gar-tracker Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, let that rain come and fill the Big O. Quote
