GoBlue80 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I bought the green pumkin in coffe tubes and went to my parents pond. Let me tell u I caught 6 off of them. I was curious if I tied on a BPS tube and fished in the same spot. Nothing not a bite nothing. Fished it for about 40 minutes. Well I decided to try the coffee tube again and caught my last 2 fish. They were both green pumkin. I was just curious if anyone else has had success like me. I love them. Quote
michbass Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Looking forward to trying this year on St.Clair. Stocked up on some colors last week. Quote
Josey Wales Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I have some but are yet to use them... Michbass have you checked out Wayne Carpenters tubes? He runs combat fishing out of clawson, and they are excellent. He has done some facinating research on crawfish in the St. Clair, and Lake Erie region. I used some last year and had sweet results on Lake Angelus... caught 3-4 Smallies in the 4-5 lb range in a week. Quote

TXBasshunter Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I actually bought a pack at academy on friday and caught one 13" (no giant of course) on one saturday morning. I was crappie fishing in a crappie house and had my bass stuff with me, so I decided to try one and jig it up and down in the well and caught him. Excited to try it in other areas and see how they really work. Quote
arthurspooner13 Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I just bought a pack of the watermelon w/ red flake at BSP last week. Haven't hit the water yet though... Quote
Bass_junky Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I haven't tried the Coffee tubes yet but am anxious to do so. I remember my father placing coffee grounds in his night crawler bedding for catfish. I did make a difference 30+ yrs ago. We did well one evening until we ran out of crawlers. Went to the bait shop got some fresh crawlers and the bite died..... Quote

EastTexasBassin Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 They don't have coffee on them, they just smell like coffee. They do however have a TON of salt on them just like those 'annoying YUM' worms. I took one out of the package to check it out and got salt everywhere. I haven't tried them out yet. Quote
