Moderators: I placed this here due to the fact that it is a tournament in the Northern Virginia area (Potomac River).   This way the local folks will see this.

St Jude Childrens Hospital is the top research hospital in the world. In my opinion you could not find a better tournament to fish if you have always wanted to fish a tournament.

Date: July 11th 2008

Can't wait to fish this one pops.  It's gonna be awesome to contribute to this cause through fishing!

Anyone in northern va and even around the surrounding counties should contemplate taking the time and heading out to this one.  Hope to see some of you out there.

The launch is out of Leesylvania so many of you Potomac junkies aren't too far out of the way.  Even if you normally launch aquia a short trip up 95 may be worth it if you're interested in the cause.

Would be cool to hang out with some other boaters who show support for cancer research and finding a cure.  With diabetes running in my family and cancer in my wife's family we are always looking for a way to contribute.

I am really looking forward to fishing this tournament since this is a huge charity for our family with us being a "Partner in Hope" for many years and your sister working at St Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN as a Research Technician. This hospital is a leader in the research field and it is free for all patients, they even put up the families while their children are being treated.

That's awesome.  I agree with you guys.  Couldn't go to a better cause.  Being from Memphis, I know all about St. Jude.  There is also a tournament next weekend about an hour south of Memphis at Sardis Lake.  It's the St. Jude Bass Classic and I believe it's in it's 25th year.  Usually have around 300 boats in the field!  The fishing is just the bonus.  The thought of helping one of, if not the best, charity in the world is priceless.
