Your Weakest Lure

Where should I start?

1. Cranks

2. Spinnerbiats

3. jigs

I am really looking to improve my skills with all of these lures this year

For some "unknown" reason, I cannot get my banjo minnows, flying lures, rocket rod, or my light up crank to work either.

I'd say cranks, even though I catch fish on all my lures.

I wouldnt worry about that too much. Senkos are really easy to fish and virtually impossible not to catch fish with.

Weakest is a topwater.  The most under used is a spinnerbait.

Chatterbait type....i have 6 and only one has been in the water for about 30 minutes all last year.

To be honest i doubt they will see water again this year.

Spoons and spinner baits/buzz baits. It feels like you are throwing a hardware store around all day! I know they are productive, i just ain't feelin it!

Rattletraps. The situation has to be pretty desperate before I resort to one of these. The only thing I can recall catching on a rattletrap is the back of my own head.

Buzzbait.  It's been at least 12 yrs since I tied one on, maybe longer.

My biggest weakness would definatley be deep-water cranking. We just don't have the water for it up here. :-/

Jerkbaits, definitely going to use them more this year.

My weakest lure is a crankbait, every time I tie one on, I just seem to clean the bottom. Again, Im bank fishing, and the water I'm fishing is 1-2feet with the deepest parts being 4--5 foot, and that isn't common. Lets just say the areas that hold majority of the fish are the 1-2 1/2 foot areas, and thats also where all the cover is.

Although I still plan to throw the crankbait here and there until I learn it, just because there may come a lake where the crankbait is the key bait, so I feel learning it is necessary.

Guys, C-rigs and Drops shots are presentations not lure types.  

As for me my weakest and or least used lures, Buzzbaits and poppers are

right on the top of my list. For topwater I tie one one and the next thing I know I cut it right off and tie on a Super Spook jr.  Spoons/Silver Buddy's  are my other not used enough lures. In hind site I missed a lot of opportunities this past late Fall by not jigging them enough.

Lipped, lipless, 'spensive, cheap, whatever, definitely a crankbait.

Chatterbait... Guess they don't catch much when they don't get wet though    I will let one swim this next weekend at the Big G though!

Rattletrap and jig.  Haven't ever caught a bass on either.  

Those are the two baits that I will be working on the most this year though.

Rattletrap-type baits. Just don't have much confidence with them, but plan on using them more this year.

C-Rig.  The few times I've used the method I've caught a couple fish, but in my eyes for the type of fishing I'm used to, there are usually better options (dropshot or jig).  Plus when I feel like spending the time to rig one up, I probably set the hook when I shouldn't, and don't set it when I should  :
