CANE4LIFE Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Has anyone fished at Holiday Park lately? Wanted to take the kids out this weekend and was wondering if anyone knows any productive spots lately. I heard it has been tough out there because the water is really high. Any help to put a bend in their rods would be greatly appreciated. Quote
CANE4LIFE Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 Wow!! You guys are a lot of help, 53 views and no replies, thanks a lot!!! I thought this was a resource guide, guess everyone is too stingy with their spots. Oh well, we caught tons of fish anyways, so whatever. Quote
slomoe Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 maybe the 53 views are by people who have never heard of holiday park. Quote
Hung up Paul Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Yeah... maybe you should post where you live or something like that. Quote
rondef Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Some information (city, state) where this park is would have been helpful. I wouldn't start with an attitude against this place, there are a lot of good people here willing to help but we have to know where you are from in order to do that. Quote
cook33433 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 has been really slow fishing due to high water should be getting better in the next couple of weeks Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 29, 2008 Super User Posted April 29, 2008 Chill out dude. I know where the park is at but never fished it. I viewed your post to see if anyone suggested as being good or bad. Besides, go fish regardless what someone tells you. Quote
619bassman Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Take a chill pill man we dont want you to crap yer pants or anything Quote
CANE4LIFE Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 Sorry I had an attitude, just seems like every time I post on here looking for some info, I have a ton of views but no replies. I have seen some previous posts for Holiday Park with reports in the past, so I just felt snubbed. I'm always willing to offfer info if I have some, and if I don't I usually post that I know nothing but ask for a report after the trip. Again, my apologies for coming off that way. Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted April 29, 2008 Super User Posted April 29, 2008 In what country/state/county/district/city is Holiday Park? Your bio does not include any information of your location. Quote
HOWIE419 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 what kind of attitude did you guys expect with a name like cane4life. they always think the world owes them somthing. Quote
rondef Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 John don't be surprised if RW or Glenn remove your link in your last post. They don't like members putting links to other forums on this site. Quote

GLADES Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Holiday Park west of Ft Lauderdale Fl has been very slow due to the higher than normal water for this time of year. The bass are generally dispersed off in the shallow marsh flats. If you can get to them (1" -2" draft), you can have a good day. Head south toward the tamiami trail. Last year at this time, Holiday was excellent because the low water forced the bass into the perimeter canals. My advice is to skip Holiday and alligator alley for now and fish Loxahatchee(South Palm Beach Co. or Lake Okeechobee(Clewiston). Lake Ida (Palm Beach Co.) might be a good bet as well. The lakes around Miami international airport are good for peacock bass. I hope this helps. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 30, 2008 Super User Posted April 30, 2008 The Lake Osborne chain has been producing. Peacocks were also seen on the beds in the Palm Beach canal. Quote
CANE4LIFE Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 Yeah, Howie419, you have to be a Florida State Semihole or a University of Florida Hater. Count your championships compared to the U, nobody owes us anything, we take what is ours. Count 'em buddy 5 time national champs, and were robbed of one. Quote
JVM Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Whats this "Bass Holes" fishing club? Is there a Northern Virginia Chapter? Sounds like my kinda club. Can anyone tell me how to become a card carrying, cer-t-fied bass hole? Quote
HOWIE419 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 cane 4 life what bowl game did the "ewe" make it to last year? Those championships are a thing of the past. Just like the years FSU dominated the "ewe" from 94 to 98 but whos counting. Quote
CANE4LIFE Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 Howie, I knew you were a semihole. Talk about a thing of the past, you guys have only beat us twice in the last 8 years in 2005 and 2006. We also have you guys 30-22 in our all time rivalry and we hold the record for the longest home win streak at 58. Don't come talkin' smack buddy unless you got the record to back it up. Oh yeah, and your Bowl Game had a fitting name The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl, where you guys lost to a basketball school in Kentucky. Ha Ha, that's great, keep holdin' on the the nineties tough guy!!! Quote
HOWIE419 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 your 58 game win streak was when the "ewe" was in a weak *** conference and now that they are in a better conference what have they done? Come talk to me when the "ewe" wins a conference championship and a national title now that they arent in a cream puff conference. Again I ask you what bowl game did the ewe play in last year? Thats what I thought. basketball school or not they beat the national champs. not to bad for a basketball school. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted May 5, 2008 Super User Posted May 5, 2008 You guys should really be focusing your hate towards the Gators. They are the dominating Football force in Florida recently and leave your UM/Nole rivalry stuff for the Everything Else forum. By the way I am a Nole and have to give it up to the Canes for all those years of dominance, but when I was there we kicked some Ibis .ss. I think both programs will be back in the National spotlight soon, hopefully with the Noles prevailing faster. Scalp'em! Quote
CANE4LIFE Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 Howie, excuse me, the ACC was just as weak of a conference until the U, Virginia Tech, and Boston College came into it, so when you know what the hell you are talking about come back and we can start over. I bet we beat that *** again this year. And we got the Gators this year, 2nd week, I admit that will be a tough one, but I guarantee we will be contending before FSU does. Bass addict, thanks for the props. Quote
GLADES Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Will you guys stop with the college football BS! Lets get back to the topic of bass fishing. Its may - college football is a few months away. Cant you guys wait until then to joust with your light sabers? Quote
