RE: Anyone from NC.....L. Jordan brings back some unbelievable memories of the year they opened it to fishing.  200 + bass per day not uncommon. So help me God!  The first time I went, I took my then 8 yr old son, now 33, and he still talks about it. We caught 80+ on plastic worms.  Went back later on and caught literally hundreds. Used a whole 100-count bag of purple firetail Mann's Jelly Worms. Haven't fished it since because locals fished it out in no time at all and now it is like any other lake, I guess.  Would like to fish it this spring in March/April if the water level is safer.  C&R Papadew/

Little river runs into the reservoir and it will surprise u that you will catch 5-7 easy and an occasonal 10 or 12. Many 10's have been caught and since ppl can only use boat with trolling motor there are abundence of fish many kinds of large species very clean reservoir....come down and try it sumtime. ;D

I'm in Holly Springs, about 5 miles from Shearon Harris Reservoir.  The Little River Reservoir is fantastic, wish I lived a bit closer to that lake!  I mainly fish Bass Lake, Lake Benson and Shearon Harris.  Just discovered the Cape Fear river is a good place to fish, going to try that some too.

I'm from Apex, right on the edge of Holly Springs. Mostly fish at Harris and Jordan but have gone to Bass Lake a couple times after work lately.
