THERE IS FISH IN LAKE BRADDOCK!!!

Well I went out this morning with my dad on the boat and saw Rob on the bank sight fishin' as MANY fish were on the beds, i went without a fish ALL morning, Rob caught 7 on a senko as he could see them from the bank angle and we couldn't form the boat. My dad was skuned as well. After I came in a took a nap I headed back out for about 30 minutes with the roommate to pitch the beds and yet again no production.

Well ladies and gentlemen I usually don't brag and talk about mediocre and smaller fish but i was just out under the full moon between 10:50 and 11:40 and MURDERED them, i caught 7 and missed about as much on a black buzzbait, about 3 keepers one close to 3 LBs. like i said Size wise it's nothing to brag about but i had a blast by myself in the dark with a buzzbait and a buzz ;D 7 in 40mins doesn't seem to common on this lake so i'm a little stoked, sorry if this piost is redundant remember i mentioned the word buzz in two fashions. well goodnight and good luck at Mercer tomorrow fellas and ladies.

P.S. I missed a BIG smack as he didn't take it jsut smacked the S out of it and never came back.

Good show Trevor.  I'll be out there again this week for sure (day & night), so contact me if you want to meet up.

Uglystick, you up for night fishing?

Good job Trevor, glad to hear you had a good night fishing.  I have never fished Braddock Lake before but it sounds like it is getting pretty active lately.

You know I had the same idea last night. After putting the kids to bed I headed over to Royal at 9pm. I saw a couple huge fish hanging near shore in the morning. I went back to that same area with a black buzzbait. Unfortunately I only got about 5-8 casts in before my line fouled in my reel. I was ticked that I only brought one rod, but the mess was too bad to untangle it in the moonlight so I headed home. Grrrr!

With the water temperature rising I would think the bass would become more active in Braddock.

Always take a second baitcaster and/or spinning reel with you.  I do and have had to change-out a number of times.

And having a second, third or fourth baitcaster of spinning reel on your boat can save your fanny, too.

Just remember which reels you need to respool when you get home.

Braddock should be popping with the full moon and warmer temperatures, unless the rains cool off the lake.

Keep those cards and letters coming about your Braddock exploits.

Hey Trev,

I'm not gonna have a chance to fish it morning or night this week but only during a couple lunch breaks.  Can you pm me and let me know where some of the best bed fishing may be on the left side of the lake (left of the dam)?  If not no big, just havn't caught anything above 4lbs yet and I'm trying to concentrate on all the spawn techniques I have been reading about over the course of the off season and early spring and trying to apply them.

If not if you could at least let me know how your approaching the shore line.  I'm not looking for specific baits or places on the lake, just kind of what you are looking for in these spots.  Or are you guys strictly sight fishing now?
