Has anyone fished Beech lake recently. I am fishing Beech lake this weekend. Can anyone give some information. It has been many years since I fished this lake.

Fish the first structure past the ramp. Usually this is where the "tourney fish" hold. Next, diagonal across the lake is a big hump, that used to be an orchard, try it, (not exactly sure how to tell you to find it)

The bass club that I belong to will be holding a tournament up there this weekend.  The reports are that the water is very high.

The high water might have fish scattered if they have moved up shallow.  If the shallow bite is not working, work some of the feeder creeks and long points.

Also, don't key on just visible cover.  There is a lot of visible cover located off the banks.  I like to use a deep diving crankbait to find isolated, deep cover and then hit it with a jig and soft plastics.  Some of the bigger fish I've caught out of the lake have been caught using this technique.

Expect a lot of bass boats on the water.  The cover to the north of the ramp on the west bank will get hammered first thing in the morning.  If you fish it, fish slow and methodical with "something different".

I would give you more information, but I can't tip my hand, just in case members from the club are lurking! ;)
