Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon... The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon. Rain will quickly change to snow by late Tuesday afternoon. Occasional snow showers are expected Tuesday night and Wednesday producing snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches... mainly at or above 2500 feet. Lighter snowfall between 2 and 3 inches are expected across the lower terrain. Persons planning on traveling across the higher elevations... such as Highway 441... Interstate 26... and High Knob... needed to prepared for ice and snow covered roadways. Besides the snow... brisk northwest winds between 15 and 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph can be expected producing some blowing and drifting of the snow. The brisk winds combined with temperatures dropping into the teens and 20s will produce wind chills in the single digits. A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow... sleet... and/or ice accumulations. slomoe Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Man that sux. I don't think we're getting any snow up here, just rain. Im pulling my hair out.....and I don't even have any. Couple more weeks and we should be good to go. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted February 26, 2008 Super User Posted February 26, 2008 I just shoveled four inches out of my drive way and I think there is more coming. Quote
skillet Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 They have said just "chance" of flurries here in the mid-south. It is supposed to be cold and nasty for the next 2 days >. Then (hopefully) supposed to get warmer again. The old "if you don't like the weather, give it half an hour, it'll change"... As Ever, skillet BTW seems like in last 10 or 15 years, Feb and Mar is when we get most of our worst weather Quote
