I really love Green Top.  Best store I've ever been in.  It's 70 miles from my house but I buy the vast majority of my stuff there.   They carry all sorts of baits from small or lesser known makers.  And being in Richmond, it's at most a few hours from anyone in the state.

Yes, this is one of those events where I go to the ATM machine, get out a specific amount of money, and when I run out I leave. Just have to make sure I don't do my buying before I've seen all the seminars I want to see. I will be interesting to see the changes in this year's show--from the the site Sam provided it looks like it is under new management. Hopefully they made some improvements with the seminar facility, as I thought it was pretty sub-standard last year.

Sam - another other shows you might recommend around the Richmond, Hampton Rd area in Jan thru Mar? (bummer is I am out of town the Jan 25-27th show in Richmond)

There is a boat show in February but it is mainly saltwater boats so that is no help.

Can you go to the Richmond Fishing Expo web site and check out the other locations for shows?

There is a big one down in South Boston area but I don't have any details.

And the one up in Maryland is supposed to be big, too.

If I hear of any I will let you know.

There is the "NEW" Bassarama for 2008, but since the original one had really gone downhill for a while, I'll wait until I hear some good reports before I attend again.

I will go to the show in Richmond.  I do it every year.  I don't buy much but I do a lot of looking.  I will probably go to the show in Fredericksburg as well.  My oldest son gets to compete in the casting kids contest for the first time this year.  I hope he does well!
