Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 14, 2007 Super User Posted December 14, 2007 Been here all my 40 yrs and never heard of the Holylands. Could you be referring to Isreal? LOL.... What area of the county are you referring to? I'm sure people have different names for it. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted December 14, 2007 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted December 14, 2007 I had someone tell me about holyland on tuesday. Don't remember how to get there though. Ask Bocabasser, he has been there.. Quote
bocabasser Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 the holylands are located off of US 27 in broward county. i am not sure if you can access the holy lands from the north. it might be on the broward/palm beach county line, i am not sure, but i take I 595 west to US 27 and head north. about 10-15 miles north you will see a HUGE sign that says holylands. you have to make a U-turn if coming from the south. it is on the west side of US 27. i heard they re-did the roads and improved a couple of ramps. i don't know for sure, because i haven't fished that area within the past 6 months. a lot of 4 wheelers and mud lovers go out there because of the vast openness. there is really good fishing there, but it is hit or miss. if FWC is out there, you WILL be stopped and shaken down, so make sure you have everything up to date. the fishing is hit or miss. if it is on, 5 fish will average 20-25 pounds. lots of toads have been pulled from there. also note that vandalism and robbery's have occurred, so be cautious. i fish an area on the east side of US 27 that is off the chart. i can't give up that local, because it is one of the last areas that no-one knows of and it holds MONSTERS! my friends would kill me if they knew i told anyone about "our" hole.
