Lard_Bass Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hey guys, I am going to the Naples area this fall and was wondering if anyone can recommend some shore fishing spots for me. Also, are there locations where you can catch some peacock bass? Any recs would be greatly appreciated. Quote
George Welcome Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Too far north for Peacocks - if you are speaking bass: limited canal fishing East on 84 or south on 41 - look also at golf courses that you might get permission at. Quote
Lard_Bass Posted September 18, 2007 Author Posted September 18, 2007 I don't have time to really explore so I'll hit some of the canals. Any specific ones I should target and what lures would work? I would like to target bass but I have a feeling that I'll be catching a wide array of things in those canals. Quote
George Welcome Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Saltwater would be a better diversion than fresh. Contact these people for best info. Naples Fishing Club PO Box 12161 Naples, FL 34101 Phone 239-455-2801 Fax 239-455-3041 info@naplesfishingclub.org Quote
bocabasser Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 i agree with george. go salt. there are lots of snook on the beaches. live bait if you can, if not flukes or jerkbaits. Quote
Lard_Bass Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Okay, all my gear is used on fresh water. What do I need to do if I expose it to saltwater? Also, which beaches do you recommend? Quote
Lard_Bass Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 Anyone know good locations to fish off Immokalee Road or off I-75? Also where is the area called Big T? Quote
