I'd be interested to know if anyone has been and has a report for us.  I'm assuming when the rain let's up today some of you will probably get out if your not already.  I will be out on the Potomac tommorrow so I won't get a look at the rez til' one night next week after work.

Stopped by Lake Ridge Park/Marina this morning and the ramp is still dry but the end of the floating dock is doing just that, floating.  Water is spilling in and the reservoir is slowly filling back in.  That was at about 0930.  Might check it again this afternoon and will update if I do.

I also checked the fishing entrance to Berke Lake.  Has anyone launched a trailered boat there?  Seems like it hasn't gained too much water lately.  Thinking of putting my jon boat in there tomorrow but not too sure of that ramp.

Thanks for the update 71.  I am gonna probably go back and fish there again next week once this weather stabilizes a bit, caught a 2lber off the dock to the right of the launch ramp last week by tossing a senko out to the floating dock.  Burke lake was LOW last week when I went.  Kayakers are having problems launching and getting down the first part of the cove at the vdgif ramp because the water is only inches deep.  All of the laydowns are exposed (or were when I went).  At least the ones I normally fish.  I visited both last week so it will be interesting to see how much the rain helped next time I go out.  Anyone know if we are getting more rain next week?

Stopped back at Lake Ridge Park and the water level is up to the end of the launch ramp.  Water is still flowing in but has slowed a bit since this morning.  I'm not sure if local ground water is giving or taking from this system but if it is giving it will take several days to see it's impact.  I wouldn't expect the ramp to open anytime soon but another 3-5 inches of rain should bring us back close to full pool.

As I live down the road I stopped back at Lake Ridge Park yesterday.  The water came up another 2 feet over night.  About 10-15 feet of the launch ramp is covered and the rental dock was fully floating.  Well, it would have been fully floating if it were not being anchored by two or three sunken boats that were tied to it.

Did throw a stick bait for about a half hour with nothing taking.  But I'm assuming another rain event will bring us back to an open ramp.

Hit a couple of local ponds yesterday. One in the morning with my dad, another in the evening by myself. Caught a total of three dinks at the two ponds. But between then my dad and I ventured over to Lake Ridge Marina and fished the docks and shoreline for a while. The cove to the left of the floating dock is now full of water (not sure of depth). The ramp is starting to get a lot more water at the end of it and the boats next to it were floating when I was there. Looks like it's starting to fill up quite a bit. I for one am excited. We need two more days of rain or so and we will be in bussiness here. My dad and I made our way around the shoreline to the left of the launch ramp and worked two coves (laydowns, stumps and fallen timber) with spinners, jigs, senkos, swim baits, shallow diving rapalas and deep diving shad raps. I ended up nailing one by a steep ledge of rocks on a point with my shad rap (blue gill pattern, dives 5'-9'). Ended up being 1lb 14oz. My second biggest fish out of Lake Ridge. Needless to say I was pretty excited as I haven't fished well from here this year. Here's the pic. Decided not to put the dinks up this time.

Sorry about the closeup, it was real sunny and I only had my camera phone so it was tough trying to get the pic. I can't wait til' spring so I can rent a boat and launch out of the rez again. This coming Saturday I'm headin' out to Mattawoman one last time before my dad winterizes our boat. Hopefully do as well if not better as we did last time (2 largemouths each and one striper).
