NHBassMaster2 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 WOW! I am still laughing that you caught that fish in Turtle! A few years ago I caught a 7lbr there and I nearly ***** a brick! Crazy to think there is bigger! Good for you man! Quote
mhtranger Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I just got back from winni and had a good few hours. Caught 3 LM average was 2.5 lbs. Caught shallow around rocks using my favorite LT craw... I would post pics but don't know how here. Water temp was 45.4 and boy was it windy. Only boat out there today in my neck of the lake. Going Friday for the whole day.... Quote

We launched out of Glendale Saturday, with intention of heading up to center harbor, but only made it to Meredith as we were spending more time playing with the new electronics than fishing and ran out of time lol. Caught a cpl on dropshot roboworm and ribster worm over by the weirs... Quote
mhtranger Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I fish out of Moultonborough. Most northern part of the lake. Quote
dag623 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Good to know! Got a tourney comin up out of states in a cpl wks, and was planning on doing some pre-fishing there this weekend. Thanks! Quote
mhtranger Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Who's tourney? Open to the public? If not what club do you fish? Lees Mills is a great area but loaded with weeds and pickerel. David Quote
dag623 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 NH Basscasters, first team tourney of yr. Yeah we fished a cpl there last yr, definitely more weeds than rest of lake... Quote

bass crazy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Went to Pawtuckeway lake yesterday afternoon. Water level is way down at least 3 feet. Dificult to launch but can be done. Have to pick up the trolling motor to get out through the chanel. Lots of new unmarked rocks and hazards under the surface. Water temps are main lake 46 shallows 52. very windy . Results where no bites. Got to see a lot of the structure oof the banks. Wish I had a camera with me. Quote

PLombard68 Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Made it out to World End Pond yesterday morning for 3 hours with not one bite. This cool air is taking it's toll on the fishing. I then figured I had more time left so I took a trip to Beaver brook in Derry and still, nothing. After a few hours at Beaver Brook I hooked into a few Fall Fish (suckers). Disappointing day for fishing but I was just happy to be out on the water again. Hopefully we get some warmer weather soon to get the fish going. Quote

Worlds End is very shallow but has some good size Bass in it. If you don't hit it before June it's not worth it because the weeds take over. There is an excess point (car top) off of Theresa Ave. in Salem. As for Beaver Lake, I agree. I live a minute up the street from it and have been there many times with no luck at all. They do stock it with trout but it gets fished out pretty quick. Quote
