Glad you made it out, man. Sounds like a success to me! I still don't trust the ice enough to go.

I was able to get to the open water at the Pennichuck in Nashua today. Bridge on Tinker road on the right hand side. Cold out there but warm enough.

3 pickerel really really slow on a bright red crankbait bomber. better than nothing

Anybody catching anything these days? I'm thinking about going out for an hour or two on Sunday since it's supposed to be nice out. Any suggestions on baits, locations, etc.?

I'm hoping to hit Island Pond this weekend. Heard it's suppose to be in the low 70s and sunny. I'll post if I get anything.

Nice fish shane and Nashua. Its about that time to take the boat out, just out of curiosity does anyone know the water temps they've been fishing lately?

Wow, it's been a long time since I've been around these board.

I basically took the last couple years off from fishing, but hope to be back this year.

Heading out tomorrow with a friend for the first trip of the season. Weather looks good, and I have my rods ready to go.

Hey Wagn nice to see you back on here, I got out early this morning before work. I could see them cruising the shallows less than 8" of water but they weren't biting. I caught a couple pickerel but no bass, a kayaker had a fish finder that said water temps were 58 but it felt colder.

Yeah, I got out today for about 5 hours in a friend's canoe.

We caught 2 crappie and 1 bass....little over 1lb

It was slow going. The only thing we got hits on was a jerkbait fished reeaaallly slow.

I made it to the small little part at the Pennichuck on the left side where it goes over the highway on sat for about 1/2 hour, no takers of anything, and made it to Crooked S pond in Loudon on sunday for about an hour with the same result. almost all the ice was gone except for the far right at the launch in the corner.

Hey all,

First day out on the lake. Seven bass in 7 hrs was a real slow day with those bluebird skies overhead. I caught the majority on fast moving baits like Suspending Jerkbait, Spinnerbait, Rattletrap. I did catch one slow crawling/dead sticking some soft plastic.

NH Alewife

I did find this guy after I caught a bass he was spit up was cool so I took a picture of the NH alewife in the pond. This is basically what we were trying to match. Good luck and tight lines all.

Hey guys, new to this forum and wanted to say hello. I was on Great pond in Kingston Nh yesterday with no luck. I don't have all my gear down here so I was fishing what I had, a Live Target blue gil and a small blk jig. Water temp was showing in the mid 50's and windy.

I am normally on Winni come mid April so with all the ice gone locally I figured I would try down here.
