They can get that big around here. My PB is a 7.8lb in Nashua River. I've also caught several 5-6 pounders around this area through the years. My son hooked into an 8lb Bass last year out of Island Pond. So I do believe the kid.

Had a pretty good weekend out. Was up in Maine with the Wife's family and fished from sun up to sun down Friday, Saturday and Sunday until about 5pm. Hammered them. Caught another 5lb Smallie, as well as a Bucket in that weight class. Caught more fish than I can count. They're still on beds up there so it's like shooting fish in a barrel. But d**n is it fun! Monday I fished Contoocook Lake, in Jaffery as well as Potanipo Lake for some time. Fishing at both was sub par to say the least. Caught only 6 Buckets between two of us in about 4hrs, and only 4 Buckets at Potanipo in about 1.5hrs. We ended the day at Franklin Pierce Lake, the lake was really busy. A lot of cruising boats tubing, water skiing, etc. As well as a ton of sailboats and jet skis. We fought through the chop and ended up catching about 20 fish, mostly Smallies in about 6hrs of fishing. Some were good sized, but I believe that lake gets a lot of pressure. And with all the boats on the water I'm sure it had them quite finicky. Anyone confirm on the amount of pressure there? Overall, pretty good weekend full of fishing! How did you do?

I'm still trying to figure out how to put pictures on, once I do I'll update.

Ive fished behind stellos and had no luck i belive its called mines falls? , but anyways you would think it would be a great fishing spot with all the seclusion and no boats really also their is alot of weeds in the area with a lot of cover youd think it be great for largemouth but i guess not. I usually fish at Northwood Lake in Northwood, NH and last year the fishing was slow but its really been making a comeback this year this weekend i caught 10 fish 5 bass and 5 pickerel all exceeding over 2 pounds and the 2 biggest bass were a 3.5lb smallmouth and a 4lb largemouth it was really enjoyable if you guys ever get the chance try it out the lake is good for jon boats and v hulls all the way up to bass boats kayaks and canoes probably to i fished mostly around docksthis weekend and also alot of over hang cover and caught pretty nice fish also jerkbaits such as rapala floaters rubber worms and spinnerbaits were the hot ticket this weekend well i hope you all enjoy yourselves and hope to see you on the lakes

Keep Rippin Lipzzz :D

Hey, what's up everybody! Sorry I haven't been posting as much as usual, but with summer in full swing, I've been just working and fishing my arse off. I've been slaying 'em all over, havin' a ball! Looks like everyone's been on some good fish around here, too. Keep it up, y'all! One question for the guys who have fished Stumpfield. That place is killing me. I've been there twice, and caught a bunch of fish, but all about two lbs or so. What gives, and what am I missing? I know that place is home to some hawgs. I'm usually pretty good about patterning bigger fish, but that lake has me, well, stumped (get it?).

Went out to Southern VT this weekend to visit a co-worker and got some quality fishing time in. Fished Gale Meadows Pond in Bondville. Quite a few fish early in the morning. All the cookie cutter 1.5-2lbs Buckets. One 4lb found it's way to my Spinnerbait. Then fished Townshend Dam, which is quite high at the moment. A few Smallies, nothing to brag about. We went a little farther up into the river and saw huge Rainbows/Brookies. Tied on some spinners and went home with 2 18" Brookies! :) Made a good lunch. Sunday I fished Somerset Reservoir, huge lake, 5miles from one side to the other. Slammed the Smallies. Most were still on the beds, with some off for about 1-3 days. Tube and 4-8" Crankbait just killed them. Lost count of fish. Most were the cookie cutter 1.5-3lbs. Had a blast. Have to admit, without fishing Champlain or any of the other bigger VT lakes, I prefer NH bass fishing. :)

Hey guys, ive been fishing Pawtuckaway alot lately. There are alot of fish in there but i haven't been able to find anything larger than 3lbs. Fish have been caught off docks, drop shot in 20+ feet in rocks, and in the scarce weeds. The lake is nice but its very hard to navigate with rocks everywhere. Hope everyone else is doing good.

Hey guys, has anyone still been catching bass on beds, or is the spawn all done? Just wondering because I will probably be trying the Contoocook River this weekend which I know is a bit colder than most ponds around southern NH, so I wasn't sure if I should be targeting spawning or post-spawn fish.

Anyone been bassin? This is the longest time I've seen this forum without anybody posting on it.

Posted

I'll be bassin a lot more soon. Just bought my 1st boat. Plan on taking it over to Kingston Lake this Saturday.

Congrats on getting a boat KlubbaT. Me and clr9933 went bassin today in Webster. It started off painfully slow, but we started catching them on 4 inch black and silver senkos around rocks in 10-15 feet of water. Ended up getting 5 largemouth and 1 smallmouth. The biggest 2 fish were around 2.5 pounds each.

Thanks nhbassin. Was getting sick of just fishing from the shore all the time. Are there any upcoming get togethers or competitions for bassresource members? There was one being planned in the spring but got cancelled.

Congrats on the new boat klubba what did you get? I will be out on kingston lake Saturday as well. Im going to be there early because only 5-6 trucks fit at the launch and it gets busy fast!

Thanks NHfroggin. I got a 14 foot aluminum boat I found on craigslist (1956 Larson). Came with everything I needed including trailer for under a grand. I can post a couple pics later on. Thanks for the heads up on the parking getting filled up quickly at Kingston Lake. I used to only be able to fish there from shore. I wasn't planning on getting there till 2:00. Will have to come up with some close by alternatives in case it is filled by the time I get there. Any recomendations for alternative places near by to go?

Long pond in danville is good and usually not as busy but it only parks 2-3. On the weekends there is greenwood pond also in Kingston but idk if there cool with people putting boats in there i just use my canoe. if you are a Kingston resident i believe you can get a key for the resident boat launch on Kingston lake and there's always room in that.

I'm not a resident but my brother is. I'll have to look into him getting me a key. Where is the resident boat launch? I didn't know they had one there. Thanks for the advice Matt

Its right next to the public launch. The area is sectioned off with posts connected by chains one of them has a lock on it. I might end up there around 12 now as I at have to work in the morning.

Cool. I may see you there. I wanted to get there around 12 myself but have to wait for my buddy. Should be there around 3.
