Nashua Nev Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I saw another writing to start a new thread before it crashes . So i guess here it is? I am hoping to get on the Merrimack river tomorrow. I saw Shane had some nice ones last wed. Definatly got the itch. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted March 13, 2011 Author Posted March 13, 2011 Troutguy ,did you make it to stellos? Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 13, 2011 Super User Posted March 13, 2011 Got a few nice ones today. It was like playing a video game getting up the river today with all the ice chunks floating down river, but the clouds didn't really roll in till later when the wind kicked up, but the fish were still willing to play shallow, so I got on 'em with a Sexy Shad swim jig/pearl Baby Craw, and on a keel weighted Rooster in Okeechobee Craw. nhbassin Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Nice fish shane. I see myself in the background on one of those pictures. Me and clr9933 had a rough morning on the water and didnt land anything in the short amount of time we were there. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 13, 2011 Super User Posted March 13, 2011 I figured that was you guys. It can be really tough for the small boats up there when the river is like this. I left like 20 mins after you. Quote
troutguy Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Nashua Neverett, I actually did get out behind the stellos, but with no luck. I tried pretty much everything and got absolutely nothing. The water was running so fast that the only part that was even remotely fishable was by that brick building. If anyone is going out maybe Monday or Tuesday id be game if your willing to let me on your boat. I'm dieing to reel something in id even take a stick at this point. Quote
fmoore Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 There was talk of this in the old thread, but I think a prespawn get together would be awesome. I know Jay mentioned Spofford, which is just about my back yard but man that place is awsome prespawn/spawn. Lots of big smalies and plenty of 10 to 20 pound pike cruising around the flats. Jealous of all you guys getting out. The CT river is still locked up in W Chesterfield. Ice should be breaking up well this week though. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 14, 2011 Super User Posted March 14, 2011 Fmoore, I was sold at "big smallies". Count me in on whatever everyone decides. Quote
jaystraw Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I'm glad I looked at this thread before I went and posted my 1st get together thread. I think I know where we should go :-) Quote
NHFisher Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I'm up for a get together. I've been sitting on ice all winter and while I been catching fish I cant wait to get back on some soft water. Quote
troutguy Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 So I saw a video on youtube of a spot in nashua that might have some soft water. I believe it is by the radisson hotel. Anyone know if your allowed to fish there? It seems that this guy had no problems, and he brought in a couple LM. Heres the link to the video. Quote

I've seen that pond tons of times, but never guessed there would be bass there. Quote
nhbassin Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I posted this link on the other thread but it didn't work after the first day. It is a bunch of the bass me and clr9933 got in 2010. Hopefully it makes everyone even more excited for ice out. Quote
NHBASSMASTER Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Hello all! I'm back and catching up on what I've missed on the forums this winter! Putting away all the winter toys and getting ready to slay the Buckets this year! I cannot wait! Where is everyone fishing? Boat is registered and I'm ready to put it in the water! Quote
nhbassin Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Went out on the Merrimack today with clr9933 and even though they were pulling water we didnt do so well. I lost good smallie on a popper and clr9933 got one on a jig. Ill be there tomorrow morning to try again Quote
jaystraw Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hey guys, if you want to take part in the NH Get Together on 4/23/11 at Stumpfield Marsh, just post in the NH Get Together 4 thread. Everyone is invited! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 19, 2011 Super User Posted March 19, 2011 Should be a great pre spawn bite going on by then there. I know someone who will be swimming a Smokin' Rooster! Watch out now! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 20, 2011 Super User Posted March 20, 2011 Hey, guys, Triple D wanted me to let you know, he's gonna be going too, and might have an open seat on the 23rd. Ps- due to technical difficulties, he couldn't post himself Later! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 20, 2011 Super User Posted March 20, 2011 Aww snap, he's back at it again! Quote
nhbassin Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 haha Shane, it seems as though you are always "at it" when it comes to crushing every bass at the power plant. Me and clr9933 went on Sunday afternoon and each got a decent smallmouth and lost a couple on white/silver crankbaits and soft swimbaits. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 23, 2011 Super User Posted March 23, 2011 Thanks, guys. Check these out from today.... Quote
rondef Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 WTG Shane, you are a fish catching machine fo sho!!! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 24, 2011 Super User Posted March 24, 2011 A couple were on Roosters in Okeechobee Craw color, but most were on a keel-weighted Craw. Quote
