NHBassMaster2 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Caught this 4lb 6oz yesterday in nearly the same spot as the 8 pounder. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 26, 2012 Super User Posted March 26, 2012 Good chunk there, NHBassMaster. Quote
llPa1nll Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Slow to report. Sunday was a good day to be out. Friend in another boat landed the biggest fish I have ever seen taken out of the lake 7lbs 9oz. It was a steady day of fish. I was one of 5 guys out on the water, I caught 26, the other catch totals were 32, 31, 29 and 11. Here is the pic of hte 7lber. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 Nice job, Pa1n. The pre spawn feed is definitely on, for sure. Quote

Super User Shane J Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 Today I got a bunch of stuff to do, so I really can't fish, but I did grab the jon boat, and went up the road to Lily Pond for a couple early morning fish maybe. Got there at 5:00, and only got to fish for an hour, because my battery went dead on me. Either the batterie's shot, or my charger, because it said 100%. Anyway, when I first got there, it was freezing, but still got two 2 pounders on a Rage Shad, worked just as sloww as I could go. Found a school of jittery baitfish, and swapped out to my swim jig. Let it sink for 3 seconds, bump it once, and THUMP! I knew there isn't a tree right there, so I set it hard, and grabbed a healthy specimine just a hair under 6. Besides that, got one more small one on the jig, same way as the big one. Quote
nhbassin13 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 shane you are just on fire this year way to go! Quote

Super User Shane J Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 Lily Pond in Pittsfield (maybe considered Gilford). Nice little place pretty close to home, and I know the patterns there well, so it's usually good for a good one or two every time I go. Quote

mhtranger Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Dag, where are you going? I'm planning on going on Sunday out of Center Harbor. I'm going to try salmon this year while i'm out. David Quote
NHBassMaster2 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Had a few hours and since the rain was gone, I went over to Potanipo. Fishing was slow, but managed this 4lb fatty. This fish is probably normally a 2.5lb fish, but she had a baseball in her stomach! Started to sprinkle again, so I came home. Quote

David Not sure yet, but most likely Waukewan. Wanna go to a familiar, smaller than Winni body of water to try out the new hds and structurescan before gettin out on the big lake... You fish Winni a lot? Quote
mhtranger Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I fished Winni in the Moultonborough area a lot last year from my rowboat but now I have a bigger boat my options are a lot more of the lake. I saw Waukewan last week when I brought my boat up. Had a good amount of ice on it. Also was not sure if you could put a big boat on it? Quote
dag623 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Ice on Waukewan huh? Well that's not what i wanted to hear lol. Not sure what the restrictions are there, we have 18.5 ft, 150hp that we took there quite a bit last yr. We fished a cpl tourneys out of moultonboro last yr as well, probably a cpl more this yr. Super User Shane J Posted March 29, 2012 Super User Posted March 29, 2012 Sometimes you just don't feel like getting wet, especially if it's a place right by your house. Quote
NHBassMaster2 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Fishing the rails! You got that right. Took about 25 fan casts, but I must have bumped it on the right angle. She slammed it right after I bumped one of the rails. Quote
KlubbaT Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Nice fish Shane. I need to go fishing with you some time. Would be nice to catch something over 5 lbs. Quote
