Hey Allen, let me clarify a little more. Besides the competition, I was looking to learn from others who have a different style than me so I could become a better angler. From what I was told from a former member as well as one of my friends that did join, even after an event was over, no one would share any info what so ever to help you get better. You'd get BS info no matter what position someone placed.

Hey, I don't fish like you do and my offer is always open.

I'm not hard to find.

Allen, definitely get ahold of me. I'll fish in November. The warm clothes are already out for hunting season so it's just a matter of getting rods together.

It's a buddy tournament I assume?

Hey Wayne, now that I've got the full time job (well on 10/14), it'll be easier to catch up with you and a few others once I get back on track with everything. Hadn't forgot about your offer! But thanks for the reminder! LOL

Took advantage of a little spare time today and hit black hills for a little while. Looks like the levels are on the way back up but it's still a couple feet low. Had one hit on a D Bomb but missed it. So after not being able to put something together, I decided to switch waters. Hit the one small lake over by Montgomery Village. Managed 3 there. 1 one a D Bomb and 2 on a Red Eye Shad. The last one I caught made it worth while, she measured 20" and went 4lbs even on the scale. She hit out in the middle of the lake and it took a slow retrieve to get her (I was barely feeling the bait).

All the open tournaments are that I know of? Best 5 fish for the boat.

Awesome.

I'm down if you want to fish it. Might have to gameplan with you a bit beforehand but I think we could do well.

Hey guys.  Went out with the wife this morning and she asked me a question I didn't have an answer for.  She had left her purse at home so she didn't have to worry about leaving it in the car and she was wondering if DNR stopped us, would they want to see her ID to check it against her fishing license?

They could but I have never been ask for anything besides the license itself.

Hey all, I just moved to Columbia from the Eastern Shore. I was looking for little places to fish in the area and decided to join. Centennial has slowed down and elkhorn is all choked up. I was able to put into Wilde for and hour last night before it got dark and got 3 and lost one. So I went back out this morning for 2 hours and got 1 and lost 2. What I miss are little walk around ponds that aren't crowded. Does that exist?

Welcome to THE boards EVF!

I'm not that familiar with the Columbia area but there was a pond/small lake I was checking out in the event I got the job I had interviewed for. It is in hopewell park. That's the best I can offer you. Hopefully others can chime in to help you a little more.

Welcome!  Don't really know Columbia but where were you from on the Eastern Shore and where did you fish?  I'm in Ridgely in Caroline County.  I mainly fish at Tuckahoe State Park, Smithville Lake and Unicorn Lake but I'm always looking for new spots to try out.

Big 'un, I was in the Ocean City area so I fished a lot of Salisbury. I've got some great secret spots there. If you make it down that way PM me and I'll let you know.

Boat ramps on lock down around here

Yep, popped over to Dam 4 this afternoon and saw the signs. Guess that doesn't leave many boats ramps available on the MD side since most of them are linked to the C&O canal. Is the one in Williamsport linked to the C&O? For some reason, I was thinking it wasn't.

I wonder if Mouth of Monocacy is open since that's not on the C&O canal?

Hey Basser89, What lake are you talking about near mont vill. Is it lake needwood or something else?

The bite has been allitle tough for me lately. Went out of shepardstown this morning and caught a few by sight fishing. Caught a couple on tube then a few on senko few on a grub and so on. Lots of fish in the water just haven't found that bait or color that really gets them going. Anyone else fishing the river? Whats it been like for you? Seen two footballs today that had me trolling around at a distance leading them with lures but no luck. I'm sure this wacky weather isn't helping either.

Hit up Deep Creek today for about 6hrs. Fishing was good but man oh man was it cold, windy, and rough out there. Fished Jennings Randolph yesterday but we won't talk about that. I had to call 911 and have the fire dept. come

pull my boat out of the mud. You ever have 4 men in their underwear on your boat... I did!
