Can you guys advise where to fish at Triadelphia reservoir with no boat? Or boat is must-have there?

Thank you!

Carroll County pond last night.  Hooked into a giant Monday evening with the frog but lost her 6" from the bank.  Went back last night and caught my PB but not the tank that she was.  I'll be back ?

There is a cove to the left of the Greenbridge launch area you can hike around and fish. You can also bank fish the Triadelphia Lake Rd rec area. If you look left of the launch there are some steps that lead up to a trail which takes you around some nice rock drop offs where I used to catch lots of crappie as a kid.

So I went out yesterday to catch some on topwater and tune my wife's black jitterbug, that part didn't work out, but ended up getting caught in that crazy downpour, and pitching a small jig into the torrent current that a small feeder creek had become and catching fish for almost 2 hours non stop most were 1 1/2 to 2 lbs or so, but some 3s and a couple of 4s mixed in. I was completely soaked and my **** were filled with water. I just pitched the jig to the head of the stream and let the current carry it down, and they were chocking it. Gonna go see if they are still there later.

I fished Tuesday and Thursday morning at Mattawoman Creek around the high tide so I was fishing mostly pads and grassline. Not much topwater action on Tuesday, just one LMB on a frog, the rest on paddletails. Thursday was almost all on the toad (chartreuse to match the hatch), great overcast cover.

Man, if I would have fished yesterday I would have been swept away in current lol.  We got 4 inches of rain in an hour and on my way home from work I saw water in places I've never seen it before.  I'll be back out tonight but have no idea what to expect

Yes.  That puddle became a lake yesterday with the rain but should be better by now.  Water was above the bottom of the bridge.  There's a bunch of 2-3 pounders in there.  And you might occasionally run into a trout or catfish.  Some giant gills as well if that's your thing

Hey I  hope I'm wrong but I thought Triadelphia was like liberty  and Loch Raven Resevours. Full of Zebra Mussels. You can put you boat in there but only there or other Zebra invested waters.

Hit Little Seneca Lake yesterday after work for a couple hours. Made it back to the Little Seneca Creek side and was throwing a black popper the whole time, trying to imitate a cicada. The cicadas are all over the water now, water temp was at 78. Got 5 LMB, best of the day was about 2.5lbs, all were thick, probably gorging on cicadas. They wanted very little action, basically just deadsticked after the first couple twitches. I did see 4 snakeheads, and had one good one nose the popper but none would commit.

Took my dad out to Mattawoman Saturday morning, high tide at 9:30AM and lines were in at 7:30AM. We hit the first set of pads on the right and I usually have success there with an incoming tide. I was throwing a toad all morning with a slight breeze and overcast skies, it just seemed right. But they were either not there, or not biting. I only caught 1 LMB there near the outter set of pads. We stayed there with no bites until 9AM and I decided to make a move, we went to the pads across from the beach and hit the back edge where the grass meets the pads and there are a lot of old wood stumps. Nothing hit here either but the water was gin clear. In both sets of pads, there were boats and kayakers near us, so I decided to push way back up the creek. I went to the back pads and the water was rushing out now with the tide change. We caught about a dozen LMB, all cookie cutter 18" and 3lbs, and 2 snakeheads and probably missed a half dozen other LMB/snakehead bites all in about a 2 hour window. On the way out I messed around with a chatterbait at Horseman's Creek because the water was rushing out and there was a seam where the muddy water met clean water and created an eddy. Got one to hit and then called it a day.

After watching countless videos where people are saying "they're stacked!", I finally get to say it as well. Found a spot where they were stacked! Ebb tide at Mattawoman and I got about 11 bass and a snakehead from this one spot. Threw the popper towards the spatterdock on the right, couple of pops and let the tide take it across the opening and it would get whacked.

Been awhile folks. Had some good fishing the past, maybe 3 months or so. Will post additional photos later!

Caught quite a few bass, with the biggest two being 18.5 inches and 17.5 inches.

I have really started to enjoy creek/river fishing. Caught a LMB and SMB out of the Pax so it has been good fun.

Just a dumb FYI.

I went up to Raystown this week. That is kinda strange. Hundreds of rec boats. It's a massively deep flooded gourg. Only about 4 coves. According to the locals It's a striped bass lake and some wallye and musky. The few that were fishing were big boats trolling with down riggers on. There were massive schools everywhere but 80 to 100 feet down.

I needed practice with my boat and it was great for that. I just caught a few 6-8 inches on a tiny inline spinner in the coves.

Come to think of it I only saw one other bass boat in four days.

I called a few guides today...it's strictly a striper lake. I don't have a clue how to fish for them.

Took a hike along the C&O and enjoyed a cigar. The water is up from Pennyfield to Great Falls, but still low at Widewater. I threw a popper at Widewater and only got a couple dinks to hit. I think the big girls are deep right now. Beautiful evening though.

Correction: Chain Pickerel.

Question:

30-40 years ago they put a ban on liberty reservoir due to Zebra Mussels. From what I remember if your boat went in that lake that's the ONLY WATER it could go  in.

I'm near Mt. Airy, can you now fish that lake then take it to blackhills, Potomac, etc?

Hit Piney Run from 7:20 - 2:20, beautiful day. Started great with a 18.5 incher but only landed another 14 incher later in the day. Had many hits and a lot of misses, just could not set the hook on the brush hog or lizard today, very frustrating as they are my go to baits at PR and usually have no problem with hook ups. The 18.5 incher was on a wacky throw back after I missed the hook set with the brush hog.  Still better then working..............

It's a nice one! I had really good time on Piney Run using mudbug/crawfish from Walmart. Just $3 and tons of fun. Every fishing brings me a hit and catch. But water is still warm, so I believe in more aggressive play later this fall.

Anyone in Eastern MD near the Delaware border? I'm in DE but always looking for new fishing spots, and if there are decent ones over the border I'd be willing to get an out of state license.

Hi all,

I'm fishing Conowingo Reservoir next weekend in a tournament. I've never fished there so any advice would be appreciated. (Plus, I'm a relative newbie to fishing with artificial lures.) I'm a co-angler so I won't have control on locations, but would welcome any recommendations on lures and techniques.

Thanks!
