Super User BrianinMD Posted June 1, 2015 Super User Posted June 1, 2015 Time for my normal heads up, my club is doing a tourney this Saturday at Black HIlls. Blast off (if you can call it that on BH) is at 6am, weigh-in at 2:30. With 16 boats it will be a little busy. Quote
Dramer77 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Is the road to black hills still under construction , might be going down in the morning Quote
KenLattimore Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Is the road to black hills still under construction , might be going down in the morning Probably too late, but it's still under construction until 6/20. You have to enter via 355. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted June 10, 2015 Super User Posted June 10, 2015 Anyone got eyes on the Potomac above Dam 4 today? I fished Sunday and the water was down but really muddy still. Just want to see if the rain on Monday did much to the clarity or flow? Quote
nosdog2 Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Hit the Mattawomen last Friday, bite was slow but put a few in the boat. 1 Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted June 13, 2015 Super User Posted June 13, 2015 Nice NosDog, have a tourney out of Pohick next weekend. Hopefully get a couple like that. Quote
nosdog2 Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 They were beating us up, switched to texas rigged worms and started boating them. Quote
basser89 Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Morning outing today, I hit MIddletown pond. Managed 1 about 2lbs on a Zoom Brushhog. Quote
southern basser Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 How's it going basser 89? I'm relatively new to the area and have fished big pool last year and noticed the water level is in bad shape . Have you or anyone heard anything about what's going on with it? Besides the supposed sink hole Quote
nastynate Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Big pool is 5-6' low. If there is a sink hole it think I found in with side image. Perfect circle on the bottom. Quote
southern basser Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Yea I fish there a couple times a week atleast, caught a lot of good fish last year.Only 2 this year right at 5 pds. Got to talking to some of the maintenance guys out there and they said there is a sink hole down on the right ( where the orange baracade is ) but that's not the issue with the water level. Which your right it's atleast down 5 to 6 feet. I was told today that there is a farm close by that has a direct affect on big pool. Something to do with the farm ponds water level tied into big pool, when it's low big pool is low. Quote
southern basser Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Does anybody know a another route to little Seneca from Hagerstown? They're doing construction on the road on the way, the only route I know. Any help would be appreciated. Quote

Any help would be appreciated. When you get off on 121 take a left instead of a right, turn right on 355 then go down to old Baltimore road and turn right... There are signs near the road for black hills... Quote
southern basser Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks alot for the information . Go see if I can cross a couple eyes tomorrow . Quote
nosdog2 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Any one fish Jennings Randolph lake? Headed there this weekend, any tips? Quote
nastynate Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks alot for the information . Go see if I can cross a couple eyes tomorrow . You get out to black hills Quote
Bill Poch Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hit up black hills tonight. Good news, access from 121 is open again. The water is super clear. I threw everything I had and didnt get any action until I put on a kvd sexy dog and had 2 right away and it went dead again. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted June 18, 2015 Super User Posted June 18, 2015 Any one fish Jennings Randolph lake? Headed there this weekend, any tips? It's pretty close to me. I've fished it a handful of times. Had a 2 day tournament there last year. It's not what it used to be. I'd say be prepared for a dink fest. That's even if you get in to them. Downsize your offerings. 4" wacky worm, and white flukes. There's 2 sides to put in. Md or WV. If you're camping you'll be on the WV side. When you come out of the cove look out to the right and you'll see a train bridge. Under that can be ok fishing. Going out of the cove and to the left will let you run to the back where the creek comes in. How far you can go back depends on if they've been letting water out or not. Also stay out to the right when running back there. It can get shallow quick. How do I know? Well I had to call 911 to be pulled out by the fire department once. They'd let a bunch of water out that week. That was a very interesting day. Quote
southern basser Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Thanks Bill for the info, I'm going 1st thing in the morning & see if I can catch a couple Quote
MARsSPEED Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Have all of Sunday afternoon and evening to fish this Sunday. It will likely be my longest day of the year...not sure if I want to stick to Lake Linganore or try my luck somewhere else. I am intrigued by Liberty for some reason. A lot of nice reports coming out of there as of late. Maybe rent a boat at Piney Run? I would really like to find some good fishing for smallies from the bank. I'm not too big on wading as I fell down in the Potomac and cut my hand open(15 stitches at the hospital plus a wonderful scrubbing) a few years ago. Quote
