Hopefully this works. Its the usgs site. It seems to track the levels of the areas in Washington county that I fish closer than Williamsport and Point of Rocks.

Cool, after doing some searching I found this android app that links to the data from USGS as well as AHPS and you can search by state etc for rivers and creeks then favorite them for quick acess.. I'm sure there is something similar on iOS

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads here. We've been out a couple times recently. We still haven't caught a fish this year. :cry4:  Maybe we can get out today. I've been working 6 days pretty much all year. When I do get some time...it seems the weather gets in the way...when I don't have any time...the weather is great. We've tried Sharpsburg Pond, Middletown Pond. the lake in Baker Park and the river all with no success. The river won't be any good until later in the week unless it rains again. Usually Middletown Pond gets muddy with a little rain. Been wanting to try the Black Hills place but with the travel time don't want to go there and the place be muddy as well. Also, thanks Brian for your help on Black Hills directions a while ago. Not sure if I thanked you or not. Either way I have enjoyed the reports here.

Nobody fished last weekend that wants to talk about it?

I will let everyone in on a secret that I re-learned last weekend = The boat will get on plane a lot easier if the trolling motor is not in the water.

If you are fishing from the bank now you want the water to be murky. BH is a really clear lake most of the time so in the summer they move to places most shore fishermen cannot get to unless it is murky from rain.

Haha... I've done the same many times..

BH -  it's getting to the stage where the jig bite is coming on strong..  from the bank, long cast and drag the bottom.  Bites are hard to feel so keep close attention.  C-rigs as well.

Thank you both for the info on BH. Might try this Sunday. We got to Middletown Pond Sunday. Water was pretty cloudy...looks like spawn is over there...I hooked something decent but it shook lose. I stopped by Conococheague Creek near Willaimsport but it wa a little too cloudy although there was few people fishing. I just visited with a younger guy and his young son that had caught a couple of catfish. I think I'll stop there in the future since I pass that way on way to and from work. Thanks again.

Being deprived of fishing has sent me into a tackle warehouse frenzy.

You have way too many lures and need to cull down your tackle to a bare minimum like me.

5 min in your basement I was ready to pull up a chair and start making things. And 6 min In before I got THE CALL I was ready to pull out my wallet and buy a megabass jerk bait that needed to be in my collection.

Managed to get out this morning. Did a little wading on the Potomac up by Harpers Ferry.  Managed 6 Smallies and a few more got off.   Found a nice little hole that they were actively feeding on bait fish.  It was pretty cool just to be around all the action.

Went to canal at Dickerson this morning.  The place is starting get overrun by duck weeds.

Caught several fish by tossing t-rigged zoom trickworm on fallen trees.

This nice 18 incher swalled hook too deep, but thanks to this forum and video on how to remove hook through gill, I removed the hook and took picutre in less than 30 seconds and released

Wish I had a jet outboard for my brothers Jon boat, so jealous.  But at least we have something, a 20 year old 9.8 mercury that at least gets us there, just slowly.

Anyway, ran the Kayak up to Mouth of Monocacy tonight, man was it windy for the first 2 hours, I was practically being blown up river, which was actually nice.  Managed only 2, 1 on a baby brush hog, and 1 on a 4" lizard.  They didn't want to touch my crankbaits.   But it's always nice getting out on the river in my yak, so no complaints

I will be needing someone to give me some fishing lessons or I will just have to take up golf? After last weekends Deep Creek trip I must be doing something wrong! Figuring in the cost of gas and lures lost it takes 8 hours and about $60 per bass.

I feel your pain. We just had a 2 day tournament on Jennings Randolph this past Saturday and Sunday. It was not a good 2 days at all. I shoulda stayed home.

How is the fishing there? Deep Creek I caught all kinds of fish including about a 3' Northern Pike but none of them count in a bass tournament.

Personally I don't feel it's that good. Everyone was having a tough time. Winning bag on day 1 was 7.8 or something like that with a lunker of 2.75 Only 2 bags in the 7 range that day. It's dominated by smallmouth but they're all dinks. It's kinda like fishing the gap. Yeah DCL is good for that. Pickerel, pike, perch, rock bass.
