KritterGitter Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Anyone been fishing this past week? Ive been out three times with a few TINY ones hooked. Not even a single pickerel! Im sure this cold weather moving in is affecting the bite somewhat, but from what Ive been gathering reading the diffrent post, the fall should be a great time to land some good fish. Any suggestions guys? Ive been using my go to T-rig mainly but I have thrown the other tools of the trade at em too. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted October 24, 2013 Super User Posted October 24, 2013 You talking about the tourney at Big Slack Yes, there is one the first Saturday in November. I doubt that I will be able to fish it because work and school is kicking my butt right now. Allen Quote

Super User Munkin Posted October 31, 2013 Super User Posted October 31, 2013 Any word on if either of you guys will be fishing and need a partner? Weather is looking pretty good! I really doubt I will get to fish anymore this year? Work and school are crazy busy again. Allen Quote
nastynate Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Anyone still fishing? It's been dead for a while in this forum. I Went up to fort hunter today and whacked over 30 smallies didn't get there until about 10:30 fished till about 3:00. The bite is awesome. If you never been to the Susquehanna you need to get up there this time a year. Didn't catch any hogs but here are two nice ones. Quote
basser89 Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 I do fish year round but have not been out lately. Hoping to get out this weekend for a little but not sure where yet. Quote
sprirobass Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I fished Black Hill on Halloween. The bite was slow. I managed to get 3 in 2.5 hrs about 17-18 inch. Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted November 6, 2013 Super User Posted November 6, 2013 The bites been real slow for me the past couple of trips. Caught a couple here and there on a spinnerbait but not many and nothing of size. If anyone's catching them, what are you using? Quote
nastynate Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Went back to Susquehanna yesterday. Over 20 boats in the water but that didnt stop those smallies from feeding. Between my partner and I we boated over 50 fish. Not only did we catch a good bit we caught some toads and I caught my personal best a 22 incher. 1 Quote

Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted November 7, 2013 Super User Posted November 7, 2013 I've only ever fished it from the shore. Caught a few but nothing like that. Quote
Dramer77 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Thanks. Fishing the Susquehanna make potomac looks so sad. we need to move up there lol Quote
Super User Munkin Posted November 8, 2013 Super User Posted November 8, 2013 Thanks. Fishing the Susquehanna make potomac looks so sad. If I had a jetboat I would fish the Susky over the Potomac any day. Having fished both I would say the average Potomac SM is 11" while a Susky one is 17". Allen 1 Quote
nastynate Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 First time taking my boat to that location. Second day my neighbor showed me what way to run the river but I cut to the wrong side of the island and found a rock with the jet shoe. Took a little chunk off but it's still good. Pay to play I guess. Quote

Bill Poch Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I do fish year round but have not been out lately. Hoping to get out this weekend for a little but not sure where yet. Buddy of mine hit Buckeystown park on the Monocacy last week and landed 5, and he's not much of a fisherman. I'm trying to get out there this weekend, but with a Kid and working wife, not sure if I'll make it. Quote
nastynate Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Allen that's great. Showing that video sparked my memory. First day at the Susquehanna I ran into the owner of rock proof boats and got him to take me for a ride on the RiverRocket. Those boats are unreal it's the ultimate river boat if your dealing with rocks. Speed, agility, spacious deck space think i need to buy one. 1 Quote
